It's really sad how this iconic, quintessential and beautiful sounding british amp is now having it long and proud reputation wrecked by korg who now own vox. These amps all ways were made in england and were top notch quality and now they are shit all made in China & Vietnam! They still stick union jacks all over the brandinding... PISS TAKERS!
Whats' the advantage of the VR series? It seems like the same thing as the AD, but without the butt-fugly styling and lack of classic Vox look. Also minus the good sounding effects and storage.
So, cool that they look right (for a freakin' change) but isn't it actually less feature-wise?
They've tweaked some of the brightness that got out of control on the Custom Classic series. Part of that is due to switching from their stock Wharfdale speaker to a Celestion Greenback. A definite improvement. The controls have been tweaked a bit as well but overall it's the same in that regard.
@777jordan What has improved exactly?? I'm very interested because I want to buy one... CC2 has those switches like brilliance, custom eq etc which C2 doesnt, but it does have 4 inputs which more or less probably do the same thing...
Isn't the new custom series basically a new version of the Korg era 1990's Vox AC's without the superiror craftmenship ? I still can't wait to try one out...or een see a video of it in action...

well its closer to the original, so i consider it an improvement. Vox may censor this, but if you have the money, buy a JMI instead...
