  • one request could u put some english subtitles

  • does anyone know what song the tin soldier sings in 3:04

  • @scorpingirl Elena Kamburova - Yes, darling ... (Елена Камбурова - Да, любимая...)

  • @MsBolverkr It's not Yelena Kamburova, it's Mariya Vinogradova, actress who voiced the Steadfast Tin Soldier.

  • Oh wow, amazing... I saw this when I was a very young child, and I remember that it frightened me very much, to the point of giving me nightmares. But I also remember that it fascinated me in a strange way. It's funny, because I can only remember these feelings it gave me, but not much about what it was about. I really need to rewatch it. <3

  • I cannot understand the languages can u make it english?

  • the animation/ drawing, is so simplified. I guess it's because of the technology of back then o-o it's okay i still like the story line XD

  • Oh my gosh I remember watching this as a little kid! hahaha Brings back memories.

  • It's in Russian

  • yhe most importent thing the solder told: "Why is the destiny is always hard whith those who beleave on it?"

    and the "dark man" during his presentation tald" : "only in ampty places bad things arrise!" ( about himself and the ampty tabaco box);

  • To be exact, he said: "Why is the destiny only hard on those who are true to it?"

  • And there is no English version. Though making subtitels seems a good idea...

  • If you can't tell the difference between dutch or french, there is something wrong with you.

  • Lots of Americans can't without seeing it down on paper. We're not edumakated well.

  • The language is written down. During the opening credits.

  • I agree. You don't have to be taking a foreign language to recognize how spellings can be from at least German, French, Italian or Spanish.

  • The language is Russian!!

  • I know :o

    lordy..

  • :( I'm not an idiot. I just don't know anything about Russia or Russian. -_- My guess was Russian, but...I wasn't sure.

  • im sry im english and thats the only language i know right now

  • Very nice! The soundtrack is really beautiful.

  • This cartoon is a very nice piece of artwork. I enjoy watching these as they inspire me a lot.

  • воин олова ОЛОВЯННЫЕ СОЛДАТИКИ

  • Piękne,mozna się rozmarzyć:)

  • воин олова ОЛОВЯННЫЕ СОЛДАТИКИ

  • Nice video! See my version of the brave tin soldier, too!

  • Awesome cartoon, I've never seen it before. I really love the bittersweet athmosphere here, and I really love this version more than the one in Disney's Fantasia 2000!

  • Well you know how Disney is, everything has to be happily ever after. Looked what they did to Little Mermaid, Hunchback of Notredame, and Pocahontas.

  • Well Pocahontas wasn't all that happy at the end.

  • Well, its not like children enjoyed the original endings in other countries. My family went to The Netherlands and Holland and other surrounding countries ten years ago, and we asked the kids if they liked those Hans Christian Anderson Stories, and they hated them because they were sad haha.t

  • Do you know who directed this?

  • Director is Lev Mil'chin

  • This one made me cry when i was 4 or 5 years old, i love it! thanks!!!

  • So sweet ^.^

  • would anyone be so kind as to give me a link or something, just anything so that I can read the translation to this please? I love this, but I really wish I could understand what they were saying... ;__;
