Folk music from all over the world interests me, it just happens that celtic folk has expanded into the metal realm more so than other folk music. If anyone can point the way to a few bands in other areas that have...I would appreciate it!

Bodhran is a great instrument for rhythym and I feel it must create tremendous strength for warfare if used for that. I agree Folk rock is really great fun, but incredible opposite of folk traditional which is more melancholy and folk rock is more fiery and more aggressive. interesting.
