  • So the Americans are going to save France's ass again? xD

  • @KFH2DaFang they wernt taken over in the first and in the second they made peace.

  • @wicNKWD37 They were invaded by the nazis, and had been conquer by the nazis, they didnt make peace, they had fallen. i suspect you are gonn send more "proganda' of yours.

  • @ilikenewbies457 they did make peace in surrendering.

  • I wonder how they got to France

  • well, I'm sure they didn't freakin swim there!

  • Well no, because they couldn't have gone through Italy, and if they advanced that far into Germany it would have been a nuclear war

  • acctualy they did,Ampbibious assault.

  • If you mean the Soviets. I think what happened was they destroyed a US fleet around Italy and then landed troops in southern France to flank the main NATO group in Germany, but I haven't played Soviet Assault yet so I don't know for sure.

  • Well, if you look at a mediterranean sea map you notice that there is two options for the way the Soviets came: from the Black Sea trhough the Dardanelles, a very narrow passage controlled by two NATO countries, Greece and Turkey, so it's probably the most dangerous if not suicidal.

The second would be sailing from a Syrian base that they had during the Cold War with an army shipped from USSR with airplanes, like that they evade a narrow pass.

  • But they still have to go through the Strait of Sicily and go around Sardinia and Corsica.

Without forgetting about multiple and unending air attacks (with almost no seaborne airpower), subs embush and probably several huge showdown against not only the US Sixth Fleet but also against respectively the Turkish, Greek, Italian, French, Spanish, probably British and maybe even Portguese navies ! That's why I can hardly believe in a Soviet landing in France in the game.

  • Except maybe if they came hidden in civilian freighters just like in Seattle a few weeks later, but tha would ment a no return mission...remember when I talked about a suicidal operation.

  • ... have you ever read Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy? If not I think you'd really enjoy it. It's a World War III novel in which do to a terrorist attack on their oil fields the Soviets are forces to invade West Germany and destroy NATO so they can invade the Middle East with NATO opposition. There is more to it, but that's the basic idea.

  • Oh yes i've read it maybe three times and I still like to read a few pages quite often. Probably the best book on World War III. Have you noticed that Larry Bond who co-authored that book was also an advisor on World in Conflict ? That's maybe why they decided that the invasion on Seattle came from camouflaged civilian freighters, pretty much like in Red Storm Rising where the Russians use a disguised ferry to invade Iceland.

  • After this scene, i understood why Colonel Sawyer rode so hard on Bannon. Probably saw a lot himself, and the same mistakes, in him.

  • "I didn't ask for your god damn forgiveness!" is my favourite line in that one

  • lol.....
