  • EXCELLENT!!

    5*****.

    Jennie.

  • In the fifties, Ronnie's dad was a Fairfax County policeman. My Mom was a crossing guard, at Gunston Elementary, and he was her surpervisor.

  • Ronnie is playing at our resort this coming December 31st! We're excited to have him! If anyone wants to come you can get info on it at our website. Just search for Liberty Mountain Resort.

  • I HAD NO CLUE WHAT SO EVER THAT RONNIE DOVE RECORDED OUT SID OF DIAMOND RECORDS..I STILL HAVE HIS 45'S AND ONE ALBUM..STILL SOUND GREAT....HOW IS MR. DOVE DOING ? ALL ICAN REMEMBER IS WHEN THE RADIO INTRODUCED ONE OF HIS SONGS, THEY WOULD ALWAYS MENTION HE WAS FROM MARYLAND...THANKS FOR POSTING, RONNIE'S MUSIC WILL ALWAYS BE GREAT!!!!

  • @MALTOMEEGE Ronnie turns 75 today (September 7th).

  • The B-side (A Ronnie Dove original) is an absolutely killer ballad..."I'll Be Around". I saw Ronnie Dove, live (for the first time) in 2007 or 2008 and he blew me away...absolutely no vocal deterioration at all (despite being 70+)...he sang fantastically well, and gave a very dynamic show. He also looks great, for his age. Performers half his age should attend his shows, to study real showmanship. Although originally from Herndon, VA, he'll always be "Baltimore's own Ronnie Dove"

  • Fabulous! Thanks for posting!!

  • Great cover!

  • Well I have Lover Boy on DOVE, seems to be a custom made one. Dunno year, sounds like 62 or 63.

B-Side is I will Be Around.

  • '59

  • Ronnie re-recorded the b side of the Dove single as Yes Darling, I'll Be Around, as the flipside of this decca single.

  • OH WOW....I love this little ditty!

  • One of the very best singers to come out of the 60s! My absolute fav tune of his is "No Greater Love" - it was OUR song for my g'friend and me at that time. lol memories!!!!!!!!!!

  • i like ronnie for sure and this is a fantastic cover

  • thanks tom i left you a comment on your cover page looking forward to hearing those songs by ronnie dove thanks so much

  • mrTopshelfTom do you have lets start all overagain and one kiss for old time sake i believe ronnie dove sang these two songs thank you for time and help bo618 aka nana toni

  • If those aren't on youtube yet i'd gladly find the 45's and put them up.

  • hay! great cover, or is it the original

  • This is a remake from 1961, Buddy Knox co-wrote it and had the hit with it in 1957.

  • ROY BROWN copied BUDDY KNOX version - unusual for a black blues shouter to copy white TEX MEX sound - but dont listen to it cos its awful - this version by RONNIE DOVE is fantastic !

  • This should have shown some chart action...probably wasn't promoted too well!

  • Didn't help that the band gave away free copies to people who went out to see their show, either! Decca gave them free copies of the record instead of royalties...

  • Unbelievably, i picked up a CANADIAN copy of this 45 on ebay last week.... i had no idea that they even pressed it up in canada, i didn't expect it would've sole enough in the states to have that kind of demand!

  • Almost as good as Buddy Knox...lol thanks for posting

  • First time hearing this. Like that sax break.
