I try not to let public speaking get to me but I do this dumb habit of not really studying my notes that much so when the presentation comes, I'm either looking at the powerpoint screen most of the time or I'm not giving any eye contact because I'm trying to remember what to say. So yeah, there was the time where I was doing a presentation and they were asking me questions and I paused for like a minute trying to think so I was giving a presentation on Shakespeare while looking at the ceiling

I feel for your sister... at my high school i had a partner who was freaking out cause she didnt know any of the stuff and i thought i did... when we started i BLANKED and she answered everything and all i said was yeah and the people were really mad... Herbert Hoover did what any conservative president would do in an economic downturn... Sit and watch! Teddy Roosevelt arguably saved this nation from the Great Depression and if you see the resemblance between that time period and today, you can see the similar concepts applied by Obama. PS. I felt so bad for you when you were giving that speech, the number one thing that you should be familiar with is the information so you can wing it if you forget something--I was in debate.

@GammaPhiBarbie My view may have been somewhat radical but I think that Herbert Hoover didn't do what Americans WANTED and NEEDED him to do when we were in a massive crisis. People would literally name "Hoovervilles" (poor "camps") after him because they believed that he slid the US into the Great Depression. By the time he called for the Hoover Dam, it was too late to save his presidency. It's ironic because the same "bad luck" is happening to our president today. PS. Are you Tyler's sister?
