  • the oregon rail heritage foundation has a 700 numbered steam engine too, im confused

  • I have been wondering for years if anyone ever got video of this move. Glad to see someone did. Very rare to see these old static locomotives on the move. Thanks for the upload!

  • The locomotive is actually Spokane Portland and Seattle Railway 4-8-2

  • @trainmanjg611 Actually the GN 2507 never turned a wheel in revenue for the SP&S. The SP&S promised an engine to Klickitat county to be put on display near Maryhill. SP&S scrapped all there engines, so they bought a dead GN 4-8-2 painted it SP&S and donated it to Klickitat county.

  • @sp4439 no they did not. SP&S' #700 4-8-4 did not get scrapped

  • @historyboy08 I know SP&S 700 was never scrapped. What i meant was, they promised and engine to Klickitat county, and never saved them one, they where all donated or scrapped. Thus they bought the GN engine and painted it up SP&S and donated it to Klickitat county!

  • Cool, at 2:40 the tele shot give at the convoy a strange sight ! Love the sound of the engines at 5:41 :)

  • Great job, it's nice that you could catch that steamer!
