Galveston is a great place. If you bring your family along, you MUST visit the Rainforest Cafe. They've got a really neat ride in it, even, that's fun for kids and adults alike. Not to mention a show every night outside. It's a full evening's worth of fun.

We recently got a 3rd row house with a perfect view of the beach on the island! Loving it to death, other than the noise during spring break. :)
