@gummmmmbycorey1 yup thats ice, its was about a foot and half thick, made for real slippery conditions, yeah he probably could have, but being the first time out in this truck and it being our only ride home at the time, we were taking it easy and insuring we didn't wreck anything, all of this happened accidentally we were only exploring an old road when it lead to a wash out, turns out it was deeper/slipperier than expected....
poor pup.....that thing would be killer to have but its honestly probly alittle too short yeah? idk, just seems to me it had too hard of a time getting up that bank.
@emptyomen yeah we had some real problems with hill climbing, because the suspension is incredibly stiff, we develop a really bad bouncing action when climbing stuff and throttling up. what makes it worst as well is when powering up torque loads up on the axle shafts enough to cause them to torque up like a spring, then they "spring back" adding to the already bad bouncing problem. This truck was actually built to be a work truck only during break-up periods in the patch.
That dog is so freaking cool! It's just chillin there on the back of the truck, lol! The rig is pretty sweet too. Don't see too many trucks like these running diesel's. At least not that I have seen.
if the guy is a welder by trade and the truck is not street legal then he should weld the axles up and give it the locker effect then it will be unstopable!
lincoln lockers have their limitations, would not be a good idea in this case, currently (not seen in this vid) we have overson lockers front and rear in this truck, and even though these lockers are a ratchet style setup, we continue to keep breaking axle shafts 1 3/4 inch thick solid steel; purchase upgradable alloy shafts, or an external planetary setup for the axles or switch to an automatic transmission would potentialy solve the problem. all though are expensive alternatives:
@j16out yea when you start breakin axles and axle parts it does get expensive but that comes with having a huge truck with alot of power and a manual tranny that you actually take off road,so you should just save up the money if possible and do it once and for all. by the way its a awsome truck!

bad idea to keep the dog on the back, if u role it either hangs the dogs or could drown it in the river

ItzzJoshD 1 year ago

BLACKLACDTS 2 years ago
@BLACKLACDTS welding up the axles will break them alot easer than just getting a locker
rwerle12 1 year ago
@rwerle12 i understand that but if you cant afford lockers and the truck is never on the street he could get away with welding the axles for a while.
