Michael Kamen was one of the most brilliant composers of our time. He put his heart and soul into every note. He knew how to touch our emotions. One can tell he truly loved what he was doing. Sadly, Michael passed away of a heart attack in London on November 18, 2003. Thank you Michael for the love and beauty and magic and romance you brought into my life. RIP my friend.

No. La música original de Michael Kamen ni siquiera fue considerada para entre las cinco nominadas de aquel año, lo cual es todo un disparate, otro más de los que suelen suceder en los Premios de la Academia. La que sí entró en la terna de finalistas fue la canción, compuesta por Kamen y Bryan Adams.
