He was a real popular singer in the 50's and one of the few artists to record Unchained Melody and have a hit with it. He died of a stroke in July 1969.
Thanks to whomever posted this. Roy Hamilton was a brilliant artist who left us much too soon. Amazing how distinctive the voices were when people WHO COULD REALLY SING stepped into the recording studios. Some great photos too. Gone but not forgotten.

Never heard of this guy until I saw in an Elvis video that Roy was one of Elvis's favorite singers. This guy has a great voice...where has he been?
