  • I haven't been to the dentist in 10 years. I am doing what the Republicans want. I am being personally responsible.

I would rather die before I would spend the rest of my life in medical debt.

  • people are so quick to complain, anyone heard about savings accounts? how about oral hygiene which can prevent all the cavities. It's not just about money, it's about education and the responsibility. I would hate to see another kid crying with cavity because his/her parents are ignorant. I took care of my children and their health and no i'm not even close to being rich!!!

  • I just spent $54,000 on my teeth for a full mouth smile makeover, and that was the cheapest uninsured quote I could find in Oregon!

There's no economic depression in dentistry, they are raping the uninsured like never before.

If you want to get rich in a bad economy, become an oral surgeon specializing in dental implants, you'll be rich within months like my dentist, he's only 29 yrs old and already owns a 2.4 million home, 3 Mercedes Benz and flies to his 2nd home in Bermuda 4 times per year...

  • this is amazing!! wish they wud do something like this here. I can't afford dental care but just got a root canal today becz i was left with no choice...

  • it's just too amazing to be true... how did you guys manage this? exactly like what i've always been dreaming to do in the future...

  • I'm a fresh graduate dentist from Indonesia, and I'd like to know how in the world could you American Fellow Dentists manage this event.

  • dental cost in the top five

  • all these people are white and can't afford the dentist?? what ever happened to the "superior" race everyone keeps talking about? not being able to afford something as simple as this shows you clearly have problems.

  • Sadly i'm one of the stupid who didn't take great care of their teeth and boy am i regretting it now, contemplating suicide just to escape the hell i'm in now. My wisdom teeth can't be pulled and has to be cut out, $2500 just for my wisdom teeth and filling in the teeth that need it would tack on another $1000, $3500 for a family that's living Below the 200% poverty level is an impossibility. 100 mil without dental insurance and no way to afford it, land of the free to be left suffering.

  • im one of them....cant afford to even have dentures done on my insurance...dental health is really high in demand and extremely expensive..ones that can afford iare the ones that have money in their mouths or born into the family of money..then its not a problem for them but for us regular people its either food and housing to stay alive or have damaged teeth..pick ur choice..i have 4 kids to feed and no muny left for dental..they are covered but not me..

  • I wish there is free dentist here in Lynwood Washington too,to help those people that cannot afford dental fees like me....pls..help if you have suggestions.

  • why cant dentists be forced to perform work whereas hospitals will at least try to fix ya before they make you leave? i know this sounds stupid but will the healthcare reform bill insure free dental for us citizens?

i'm just saying with all the illegal babies being born in the country w/out even having their bills paid youd think a sane country would extend dental to its own citizens since illegal aliens have zero rights.

  • People need teeth. I also doubt most of these people brush their teeth daily, or floss and mouth wash as well. Remember, never go to bed with stuff in your mouth without cleaning it furst! :D

  • I went for an exam at Western Dental. They priced my whole mouth for 5,000 dollars.

4 Wisdom Teeth, Front Bridge, 1 extraction, 1 crown. Deep Cleaning... aye aye aye... I blame the fluoride scam going on with American Water.

  • @izlude2 I see a huge difference in the tooth decay rates of those who grew up in areas with fluoridated water and those who didn't. Don't blame the fluoride as your teeth would likely have far worse if you didn't have it. You can blame, however, your dental hygiene habits.

  • Talk about a GREAT GROUP that dose something that most won't!!!!

  • I am forking out 80k for dental implants because I have bruxism and couldn't afford a dentist to make a mouth guard from grinding which is why... not lack of care....

I am going to school to be a drug counselor and racking up mad debt for that myself so I understand the debt issue...

  • As an entering dental student, I'm all for more affordable dental procedures, but not at the cost that almost every dental student has to pay. I know dental school will cost me around $400K, a debt that will take at the very least 15 years to pay back.

  • Wow that's awesome there should be more temporary clinics like this one

  • Back in the 1960s, dental insurance companies (now 3rd party payers) would provide a maximum of $1000 a year to cover dental costs for a single patient. That would provide for 2 to 3 crowns a year. THAT IS STILL THE SAME AMOUNT COVERED TODAY IN 2010!! Dental insurance is not the answer- they change their policies almost MONTHLY to confuse dental offices and escape paying for services that patients desperately need. Why isn't anybody investigating this??

  • Most in the dental field know that you are better off paying for your dental care out of pocket instead of buying dental insurance. Many dental insurance companies no longer claim to be insurance companies but "third party payers". By advertising themselves as 3rd party payers they are able to avoid many laws our government has passed to protect subscribers. The dental ins. companies are cutting back their benefits almost daily.

  • (cont.) Therefore, by having a "health care" clinic remove your teeth, aren't you really having them aid you in death? After all, to sustain life you must "eat". To "eat", you must digest food. "Chewing" food is the first step in digestion by definition. "Teeth", by definition, are used for "mastication". "Mastication" is defined as the first step of digestion... In other words, I need my teeth to live. Please don't pull them out. Let's make quality care affordable. The tech is already there...

  • I write to you with excruciating pain in my mouth that I have suppressed off and on with pain pills. (For nearly 3 weeks this time.) I've found I cannot afford "tooth saving" treatment, regardless of having dental insurance. Health clinics will pull my teeth for a more affordable rate. Since sustaining life requires one to eat and one cannot eat, by definition, without digesting their food, it is necessary to chew food... with teeth, which by definition, are used for "mastication" or digestion!

  • We HAVE Dental insurance and the costs are still ridiculous. I'm not looking forward to going next month. I know I have some cavities and I had two fillings fall out, one up front and one back molar. I don't know what I'm going to do if I need crowns/root canal. I'd definitely have the back molar pulled. Ugh... I also still have 1 baby tooth because my left eye tooth never came down... it's still in my head. lol My parents couldn't afford that one when I was a kid and now I can't @ 36.

  • @ScaperSteph

They change their policies almost MONTHLY to confuse dental offices and escape paying for services that patients desperately need. Insurance companies are devious.

  • If a clinic is not available in your area, try signing up for dental plan. I've been using AVS dental plan and have been able to get my entire family to the dentist at an affordable rate. it's a great alternative to expensive insurance. Check out their site...lots of dentists!

  • dang come to atlanta because I need free dental care too. I've had two bombed teeth for well over 5 years now. Can't eat on my left side no more and it's starting to get bad on my right side too now..

  • Click on my channel for information on low-cost dental plans with Ameriplan (R). These are very helpful for people who can't afford high insurance costs! $19.95/month covers your entire household. This video has really shown the need for low-cost dental benefits. You would think those people were on line to buy concert tickets! Unreal...

  • Cut just a tiny portion of the military spending, and you get free dental care for the whole country, cut half the spending the military, and you got healthcare for everybody.. the US spends 300 billion dollars every year on the military, the 2nd country who spends the most on military is Japan.. and they spend about 40 billion.. there's a 260 billion dollar gap between the two countries who spend the most on their military.. I think one of them spends way too much.

  • @1j0k3 --- and rather than promote health, what does the military do ?

It promotes DEATH and destruction. 300 Billion. Remember the days when 300 Million was a huge amount? America has 300 million census count !

What kind of Earthlings promote death over health ? Mentally ill..... that's what kind!

  • pretty amazing.

  • Pliers may help

  • Behold the "Superpower" - lol.

100 million people can't go to a dentist.

But if a senator feels a little dizzy, a black armored helicopter picks him up to the nearest clinic, and his bodyguards clear out the other people with machine guns first.

  • @NorceCodine -- and they say "America; of the people, by the people, for the people.

Land of Democracy. America, richest country on Earth.

  • @NorceCodine 100 Million people CAN go to the dentist. Anyone can go to the dentist. There's a difference between "can't go" and "can't pay".

I'd love a Benz. I CAN get one. I CAN'T pay for it. But if I could, I could get one.

  • @NorceCodine LMAO. Yep. I wish we had NHS.

  • Do they ever do this in southern California?

  • How would someone in the Boston area find help like this?

  • @EFT4MeDebi --Call your public health department.

  • free dental clinic 800 volunteers
