  • The Die Is Cast.

  • I miss this series!

  • "Rome" is considered a serial, but is exclusive from the formal point of view. Really, the Rome consists of 22 series, but actually it is a true historical film, and the film have a surprising sense and reasonableness.

  • 13th

  • I still replay this show to this day. It's just that damn good.

  • best show ever

  • I just downloaded rome total war because of this video

  • Is this a good series?

  • @CheeseSandwichFan imdb.com says yes, with a rating of 9.1/10, which is an awesome rating. I haven't seen it though.

  • @Andreware Thanks.

  • No está tan mal, aunque las hay mejores

  • Spartacus is an amazing series!

  • can i know where can i download this series??hope u will respond..tnx

  • @lordon18 on torrent

  • Can someone give me some good advice about this. Which series should I watch: Game of Thrones, Spartacus, or Rome? They all look splendid but Im torn between which show I should try out.

  • @CiaraLaS Spartacus is awesome! I just torrented Rome, and Game of Thornes I have never watched

  • @sil2k8 Are you serious? Where on earth did you find the torrent? Link please =]

  • @CiaraLaS Well Game of Thrones and Rome are both excellent high-budget series. I haven't seen much of Spartacus but from what I've seen it seems to be quite(read very) low budget and quite...bad really.

  • @alfvar ok thanks much for the info

  • @CiaraLaS I haven't seen Rome, but both Game of Thrones and Spartacus are awesome, and I mean really awesome..but GoT has fantasy elements,Spartacus not..so hope that helps you :)

  • @CiaraLaS Ive watched them all and come to the conclusion that GoT is the best in my opinion. Although its a downside that there's only 1 season of the series and so you have to wait for next year to see the rest :) God damn good tv series!

  • @CiaraLaS Game of Thrones :D

  • More like "Veni, veni, veni." - Atia of the Julii

  • Game of Thrones FTW

  • @Dawlina It was too expensive to continue making at the level they did. Spartacus is, unfortunately, the cheaper rip-off.

  • @mebfeather Still, that does not mean Spartacus is a bad series :)

  • It shows what is the authentic rome in front of our face and teachs us the politics of rome , that is a great TV series definitely.

  • It would have been amazing to have lived then.. As just a witness to the monumenous turbulance of the time

  • My toilet bowl is from rome. I like to piss in rome.

  • Ave Roma, 2764 ad Urbe condita.

  • 12 people shall be crucified! :)

  • Rome was the best tv series i have ever seen.

  • LOok Like Spartacus

  • @Eussama Rome is to Spartacus Blood and Sand as Star Trek is to Star Wars.

  • ancient rome was awsome ... and the show too. :)

  • SPQR

  • F**king outstanding! I still get chills when I see this...."Shall I be merciful...I think not!"

  • I watched the Whole series of the Sopranos.. Twice.

and i have watched Rome around 7 times.

I Must say, although ROME only lasted 2 seasons i think its a better show then the Sopranos, Even though Sopranos is ranked around the best.

Rome just felt so great, the First season was so intense with drama, action and emotion, the Acting was amazing. The second Season, at first i didnt like as much, but after watching it over it is much better then first thought

    If only it went longer.

  • @00Rooster4Life00

I agree. I have watched Sopranos, The Wire, Oz and the Shield but Rome absolutely blew me away.

It was the characters that made the show come alive. Sure it took some liberties with the truth (some needlessly) but still a tremendous show.

  • SPQR

  • @LegendZeldaXD by the 1500's, the Roman Empire had completely collapsed.

I am in year 8/grade 7, and i know this. COME ON DUDE, really?

  • @misspoppylol Dude... Caesar was born in 100 B.C. wtf... And the fall of the Roman Empire was a lengthy process... some hundred years! And it "officially" ended with emperor Romulus Augustus in 476........... The 1500's were in the Renaissance!

  • @LegendZeldaXD 1500's really...? Caesar lived in the 1500's? great history teacher you must have had

  • how many seasons?

  • @LegendZeldaXD 1500's? Dude, Rome takes place before Christ's birth. That's when I wanted to live!

  • @kuhn19 I dunno. Personally, I enjoy having running water. And minus sexism. Well, there is still sexism, but back then? Way worse.

  • a 3rd Season would be cool

  • Veni, vidi, vici.

  • un imperium sine fine dedi

  • yeah first season was best but thats probably cause they invested more time in it, second season was still really good but a bit too fast

  • Ma è mai possibile che devono essere i popoli che sono stati sottomessi all'antica e potente Roma a girare dei Film sulla nostra gloriosa storia???? Povera Italia !

  • ppl buy this its totally worth it really!!!!!!!!!!!!! best ive ever seen!!!

  • imagine if they had American accents on this show...would ahve been so crap

  • Spartacus is super

Rent it from the library, that's what I did.

  • i found a great wesite

    tx for answering

  • hey everyone, I am curious to know how does the Rome series rank against the movie Gladiator? Better, worse, equal? Worth renting?

  • @b0219u

BETTER!!! and it's definitely worth renting

  • @b0219u

Well, Rome is far more historically accurate, whereas Gladiator had more artistic liberty taken with it, though both are fantastic in thier own ways. But as for the better of the two, I would have to say Rome, though that's mostly because it's a tv series and had more room to grow and develop. Gladiator was only a few hours, and alot had to be packed into such a small time frame.

  • @b0219u

    Waaaaaaaaaaaay fucking better...

  • I think it is more better, it is more for adults though because there is full female, and male nudity, swearing, gore, violence, and intense scenes. Gladiator was more geared for teenagers. Also Rome is more historically accurate, comapared to Gladiator.

  • Woow ! Really nice show ! Perfect online at leadmoviesdotinfoB

  • hell cesar !:D

  • The announcer guy at the forum is the most EPIC character EVER!

  • @videosearcherwhenbor YES! The fat news reader is one of my favorites! "True Roman bread, for true Romans!" hahaha

  • Rome S01 is ony of my favourite series. It's goddamn awesome!

  • the best series ever :)))))

  • im thinkin of gettin this on blu-ray, is it worth it?

  • YES!

  • hells yes!!

  • It does not need blue-ray to be the most awesome TV series ever

  • @Torreslegend Graphically yes, the faces of the actors are more defined and the environment looks like you were actually there in real life.

  • @Torreslegend YES. Very much so

  • @Torreslegend Yes

  • Comment removed

  • @Torreslegend Yes definately. It's an amazing show.

  • @Torreslegend

First season is outstanding, the 2nd season starts off well then loses its way and becomes quite daft and even dull in parts. But even so, its still worth getting and has many fine moments.

For the first season alone I'd say definitely get it!

  • @Torreslegend Hell Yeah it's worth the buy. A series you can go back on many years from now and still enjoy it. What's not to like abut this series.

  • @Torreslegend YESSSSSSSSSS

  • @Torreslegend yes

  • I was talking about Argos.

  • They came to it far more often then others.

Spartans seem to be an great example, having never done so even to their greatest rival.

  • @agiovannii go make spaghetti u faggot.

  • Have copied usefull stuff, they have copied almost everything from other nations.

Great for their way of fight, they won many times because of manpower. And the policy is what made them great, if you take Sparta then they could have become Rome as well as Sparta had plenty times the oppertunity to completely destroy their enemies, but they didn't.

  • That's because Sparta just enslaved everybody they conquered. That's the entire reason Sparta had the system it did, to keep it's slave population in check.

  • @Spartiatai300 Sparta would never have become like Rome. They were too conservative, they wouldn't change, and they hated outsiders. Besides, they weren't hard to beat. Thebes destroyed the reputation Sparta had, and Macedonia destroyed Sparta's military might forever.

  • @Alexandros1294 I agree with all but that last point. I think it's unfair to say that the Spartans "weren't hard to beat." Early on they conquered Messenia and enslaved the population, then Lysander in the Peloponnesian War (not to mention Sparta's victory), and Agesilaos II's near conquest of Persia. Losing to Thebes under Epaminondas, considered one of the greatest generals of all time, and the Sacred Band is not something I would call weakness.

  • @Alexandros1294 ...and as far as Macedon is concerned... No one beats the dream team: Philip and Alexander.

oἱ βασιλεῖς οἱ Φίλιππος καί Μέγας Ἀλέξανδρος ἐνίκησαν τήν οἰκουμένην!

  • @Trefsre You're definately right. Philip and Alexander were probably the greatest generals that have ever lived.

  • ROME is today the most undeveloped & corrupt city in West Europe.

  • Easilly?

Romans became great because of their politics, not because of their copycating.

  • Rome became great for many reasons, don't boil it down to one thing.

  • Yes, I'm sure its smart if you would kill your brother if it turns out you would live longer.

  • Is this series good? What does it center about. the entire roman history or like ceasar or so?

  • I really hope the Rumors about the movie they are making about this is real because I have watched season 1 and 2 100000000 times now and I want MOAR

  • A great film !!

  • Its not a film u moron, its a serie.

  • I just saw it today and found it to be one of the best series i have ever seen.

  • @pacdata

true is!! Marcus Antonius (the guy who plays it is super!!) All the cast is amazing.

  • They should make a HBO show on ancient Sparta, if it would be at least as Historical as Rome then it would be great to watch seeing Sparta was so unique.

  • That'd be awesome!

  • Are you aware of how pathetic and stupid it is to say, "at least as historical"? Either it's historical, or it isn't. "Historical" isn't a quantity, it's a quality. Now go kill yourself, you're worthless.

  • You really are retarded aren't you? I put it in as a quality, learn to read. xD

  • I will murder you both and nail your limbs to the doors of the senate house.

  • Nothing compared with the romans. Spartans were just a bunch of gays from the classic antiquity.

  • Romans were more gay then the Spartans, the Spartans were disgusted at the idea.

And besides, Romans were a bunch of wannabes, just copying others.

  • @Spartiatai300 hahahahahaha you are so funny!!!!

  • Thnx ;).

  • @Spartiatai300 Uhh... what? Spartan mentors were actually homosexual lovers along with added guidance. Homosexuality back then was a lot different than it is now. It wasn't rampid sodomy everyday like it is today, it was more brotherly love back then lol.

  • @Alexandros1294 No they weren't. Spartan mentors had an father-son kind of relationship. There isn't any proof of any Homosexuality, unlike with some other Greeks like the Athenians.

  • @Spartiatai300 Well most historians, including a real Laconophile named Paul Cartledge have said that the Spartan mentors were homosexual lovers.

  • @Alexandros1294 A real ancient Historian called Xenophon lived among the Spartans, he even send his sons for Spartan education and he said there wasn't homosexual love relationship but that of a father and a son.

    Who do you believe?...

  • @CrusaderPRT Spartans weren't "just a bunch of gays." Just because a society has gays in it doesn't mean everyone in the nation was gay. Greece and Rome were more tolerant to homosexuality, but not everyone there was a homo lol. You need to read up on your history a bit more. 2,000 years from now does that make America "just a bunch of gays" because we have a lot of gay people here?

  • The BEST series ever.

  • Excellent series! One of best.

  • sum1 should put the seasons on youtube would b cool as hell!!!

  • That someone is you :)

  • lol i found sum1 that had them all on here

    coolio

  • Awesome show!

  • This is a great show... to watch alone. This, like Californiacation, can make people look at you as a perv.

  • is this show still on HBO?

  • no it ended awhile ago, it only went on for 2 seasons

  • why??? the rating was bad or what??? cuz i think it was fuckin awesome.

  • i mean i think just because they told the story they wanted to tell. It ended appropriately with certain people dieing

  • no, the show cost a ton of money to shoot and even though it had great ratings and won awards it got canceled. it was supposed to be 5 seasons but it got cut down to 2.

  • @ismaelcho92 It costed too much to make. The sets and costumes costed millions of dollars I'm sure.

  • Thanks for showing us the trailer!

  • i want season 3 !!!!!!!!!!

  • Rome = epic win. enough said.

  • This trailer is suburb!

  • ANY GOOD THREESOME SCENES IN ROME?

  • 1st Season was excellent, the 2nd not so great (after the first 2 episodes it really lost its path).

    HAIL CAESAR

  • yea, I'd buy the original for the 1st. But wat the heck were the writers thinking in the 2nd season. Even the actors looked fatter and lazier.

  • @Octavius0 I really liked both seasons. Season 2 was just... sad.

  • This is by far the best series I have ever seen!! Both seasons!! I wish I lived during this time...

  • yeah ... me too.

  • I don't. Think of all the venereal diseases spreading around...completely untreatable. Plus, regular diseases compound the problem.

  • all the empires rise and fall...........

  • i watched it all in one go

  • the ROME series was amazing! thats the way it was in the roman times yes alot of sex but who the fuck cares thats stuff to do to pass the time... not only that but but sex was a big part of diplomacy back then but who doesnt love a good f**king from time to time...

  • Ok, I was supposed to say that I was watching the movie with 30 class mates, if you think about it, it's kind of embarressing.
