  • TAKE THAT RICER!!!!

  • I just stroked my 454 to a 496. Got a mild comp roller cam .5 lift and 228/232 duration at .5. Got a 2400 stall and 355 gears. Air gap intake manifold and dart pro 1 oval port heads. Ran it for the first time this weekend and ran a 12.2. Pretty sure I could break into the 11's though. Just curious how big the shot and cam was to get you to the low 11's.

  • @gnewma1 The engine had a solid flat tapper cam- Comp XS274S 236/242 @ .050 on a 110 LSA, RPM Air Gap, OEM 781 iron heads, 10" TCI 3500, 3.31 gears and is 3800 lbs with my wife-(its her car) Shes runs 11.5's on motor alone-

The plate is just a Powershot=125 hp to go the 11.07 @ 120

  • @gnewma1 3.31 gears my ass! I had a 1970 Chevelle LS-6 new and it had a rock crusher m22 and lousy 3.31 gears, it was still in third gear at about 90 in the quarter stock. BB will not run with stock exhaust and high gears.

  • @swasey1952 I really hope your not replying to me with that comment about the gearing.....

  • @swasey1952 you had !!! so leave it be...

  • How big of a shot were you running? What are the specs on the cam in this car?

  • nice car. im also building a 496 for mine.
