how many weeks/months post were u? i love thickness too. main reason why i'm going on a 6 month stretch n texlaxing is to get my hair back to the texture i miss so much, no more relaxing bone straight! nuthin sexy about limp hair. glad it works for u!
i had to break down today, bought some no-lye regular hawaian silky for my 4 to 5 inch afro that was getting to unmanageable and very expensive to maintain with so many products. my hair has that same kind of thickness blackrose have which is tough when you go that long without a perm or trying to be natural since i don't like braids. i always used haiwaiin silky when i had a perm or bone straight since i perm easy /with a lot of dandruffs after. my sister will put me a tex-lax on it.
I love the way it turned out. Nice job! Did anyone ever tell you you look like that girl on the cooking channel? You are a darker version of her. Her name is Sunny Anderson. :)
niceeee...im stretching.....its been 6 months...my hair is kept in sewins the whole time thought because I am away at school..do you have any tricks or tips...and do you think the sew in is a good idea to keep it in the mean time while i am away??
I love sew-ins, but I'll be honest I like earing half wigs better, I can make sure that I keep my hair moisterized and clean by washing it when I need to-do what's best for you, just make sure that you keep your hair clean and moisterized as best you can while wearing the sew-in.
It's my personal choice to relax-for me it's just easier to maintain, I'm teaching my daughter to love her hair and take care of it, if she chooses to relax in the future then so be it, her hair being healthy is the most important.
You should consider going natural. You do the same thing as far as spraying with water, braiding in four braids, etc. I hope you know you would be beautiful with it. Don't feel like you're gross if you don't perm it. Cause it's not true.
im tyrna go natural but i dnt think my hair will look as good as ur daughters!! but i dnt think my hari wil cooperate is ur daughter mixed?cuz she has really really good hair!!
All hair that is properly cared for is good hair, no matter what texture-curly, coily, wavy or straight. My daughter is mixed but I do put time and work into her hair.
Thank you! I have been walking ALOT, 2 miles a day taking my daughter back and forth from school, also I try not to eat after 5:00pm. I haven't lost that much about 10-12lbs.
You are georgeous and so is your hair!. You can be on one of those beauty magazines. I also admire how smart your older daughter is. I wouldn't be suprised if she is president in a couple of years. How old is your daughter?.
Yep we like your hair.. It does look great. I know I kept saying dont relax that you should transition and so on but your hair looks great. Maybe you are just one of those people that relaxer is actually kind to. your hair does look fantastic.
your hair is beautiful & thick!! I hear a lot of people say that when they stretch their relaxers they get a lot of thickness....I also like how you styled your hair =) you also have beautiful curls (when you were showing your newgrowth) Have a blessed week!
Looking beautiful girl. The thickness is lush. How long exactly did you stretch before relaxing? I'm currently in a 10 week stretch....and trying to go longer.
You have good eyes!!! My hair will not relax bone straight no matter how long I leave the relaxer in, and so it is "texlaxed" my roots are not fully straight, I probably would have to get a dominican blowout for a super straight look.
gurl NO u are not overrating it! it is extremely thick and gorgeous!!! it looks more texlaxed than completely relaxed to me though. definite progress from january and it is just simply beautiful! congrats on your stretch - how long exactly did you go?
i love your hair, reminds me of how mine was when i was younger. its still thick now, just not with the length

Hey--nice thick hair! Do you texlax or is this a full relaxer?
SlimLyn08 1 year ago
This was supposed to be a full relaxer, but I did realize later that my hair was not fully relaxed-at least not "bone straight."

Don't relax it for a very long time. You have beautiful hair. No relaxer is good for hair. But to each it own.
