I know the Story differently: a young Monk fell from a Rock and could grasp an old branch while falling.The Zenteacher he accompanied came along to help him & said:Release your hands from holding on the branch(which started to crack),because what you hold on to is nothing but an illusion,but if you let go you'll be fine...but the Monk couldn't do that.In the end the branch broke&the monk fell on the floor a few inches below,xperiencing his first breakthrough of understanding&started laughing.
@ysiblini no matter the question she knows the one answer to all worldly questions. most questions can be answered by asking greater questions. once you have realized your self you will be in awe at what you are realizing every moment. the smallest of things can be quite profound and what seem like a big question is made up of many finer ones. if you know what is in the flow, naturally you would know if some thing was not in the flow. the humble make it look easy, but it is simple.
