My sisters were at this show and met Bon Jovi thanks to their fan club having a Homecoming event for the band and their fans so they could see Bon Jovi at Giants Stadium, meet the band, their family members and sit in on their soundcheck. They said they had over 300 fan club members come to see them and the band did a photo shoot for all of their fan club members who came and my sisters were in the last group for the photo op, still have the photo too!

Probably not, it was on it's way out. Grunge merely established a new scene. Still, I like a lot of the first wave Seattle bands, but I think its exploitation by the media had a terrible impact on music. If not for that, I believe darker, more insightful heavy metal would have ruled the decade alongside general alternative rock. Hip hop's dominance of the 00's, though, was inevitable. Maybe the 2010's will be the decade where metal finally dominates.

i agree the 80's may have a corny fashion statement, but rock music is big in the 80's, not unlike today 2009, today hiphop or pop or rnb is more dominant. i miss skid row, gnr, stone temple, nirvana, miss the 80's

For those of you too young to remember the 80's or were born in the 80's, I wish ya coulda been there!!!

This era rocked, I didn't realize it so much then, but hind site is 20/20, 89 most of all was an awesome year!

Do what you can to keep this music alive!

The girls were hot! The cars had V-8's, and the music was fun!!!!!!!

The 90's produced some great music, but the 80's were a great party!
