The acting is really poor.
When you find out that a movie (glbt or not) is low-budget, has a first-time director *AND* first-time/non-actors, it's usually a indicator of quality (or lack thereof), lol.
I'd definitely can't recomment it, but people just want to see how bad it is for themselves!
@loopyridesagain what a bizarre comment to make - low budget does not mean poor acting or poor quality film making. SHANK has been the most successful indie gay film out of the UK in the past decade and has won several significant awards and has played in over 100 cities worldwide in over 75 international festivals - infact after it's world premier in Melbourne March 09 the film is still on the circuit playing Switzerland November 2010! That should recommend itself to people!
