this is why i love my 93 LT1 firebird formula. I/E CHIP  160 STAT 3:73's 121,000mi and considering it's 18 yrs old now still runs 13.70's. i'm 54 and keep it running like the day i picked it up.alot of people run up against tired/abused LT1's but a good running LT1 can still put a hurtin' on alot of modern muscle. hell i won't do it because i take care of my car

Sorry, I messed that part up. The SRT-4 is a 16g, but it's NOT the same as an Evo turbo. The SRT is TD04 while the Evo is TD05.

The SRT-4 has a Mitsubishi turbo (as in Mitsubishi made it) and that's about the only similarity between the 2 cars. You're wrong as well dude. The Evo IX, which has the 10.5 hot-side (like the 05 Evo 8)is actually labeled as: TD05HRA-16G6C-10.5T. The IX turbo has a revised compressor cover, the wastegate valve has a different shape, and some other little tweaks. It has a better torque band in the 1800-5000 rpm range. It also has a bump in boost and the MIVEC cam, and som other bits provide the extra power between the 8 and 9.
