Beautiful, beautiful song, I think that a lot of people don't really listen to the lyrics of a song. This beautiful song was about the hope of the reward that comes at the end from "living your life right" and she is speaking about the choices and decisions she made and hopes that she lived her life "right" so that she would be wearing wings and hearing choirs and wearing a halo. All of life is about these same things...
@DarkRavenSky Beautiful, if she's singing about the VANITY of "trying" to please God or enter heaven through "living right" because NO ONE lives "right enough" to please God! That's the beauty of the Gospel (the death of Christ on behalf of those who believe). The bible is clear that even our most righteous acts fall short because they're tainted by our sin. God is only pleased with His PERFECT son Jesus. When someone repents and puts their trust in the SUBSTITUTIONARY atonement

People (even many "Christians") don't really or fully understand the cross (Gospel). God is HOLY AND PERFECT and He CANNOT look upon ANY sin (even a tiny lie)! AS THE SONG POINTS OUT, we ALL fall short and SIN! So in His love He made a way for us to be reconciled with Him...
@DarkRavenSky ...the bible says Jesus could have called legions (thousands) of angels to rescue Him from the cross and destroy everyone, BUT His love for mankind (for those who believe) is what kept Him on that cross! Without Him NONE of us would have had ANY hope! We fall short and He paid our debt! We are made PERFECT THROUGH HIM that we may enter into the presence of God! Satan's sin was PRIDE! So put away your pride, REPENT and BELIEVE upon the Lord Jesus and be saved!
