@TheSsmith64: I am a big Abba fan, but I think we need a little perspective here. There is no way Abba would have ever outsold The Beatles (who have sold over 1 billion records). Abba sold about 300 million (same as Queen) As for 'tribute' bands, that isn't relevent. A collection of Beatles 'Outtakes' ie: The 3 Anthology albums were No 1 worldwide in the 90's. I remember how uncool it was to like Abba in the 70's (especially as Mums and Dads liked them !) They now get the respect they deserve.

@TheSsmith64 I'm British and I much prefer ABBA to the Beatles, but for you to say there are no Beatles tribute acts in the UK is rubbish. Ever heard of the Bootleg Beatles? They're very popular. As for ABBA not being big in the US, they were, as Dancing Queen was number 1 over there, but they should have been much bigger. In USA at that time, they were heavily into bands like the Eagles and other naff soft rock and country and western rubbish. I think ABBA are much appreciated in the US nowaday
