Confusing heading! "breaks land speed record" This is not even close to the land speed record.

Does anyone know what the actual record is that is broken here? Is it the fastest a Jaguar XFR has ever gone? Or is this the record for a certain class of car, engine, etc.? Is it all stock?

I mean, we've all seen top fuel dragsters get up over 320 MPH, and that's in just a 1/4 mile!...and in under 5 seconds...lol.

If you even learn a land speed records table, you must know that land speed records divided to the divisions depending on FWD, RWD, 4WD cars, on motor volume, on road cars and racing cars, etc. Alot of divisions. And Your comparison with dragsters here is inappropriate.

There is the Ultimate Aero with a twin turbo Corvette V8 that can hit 255 and I think there is a new version that can hit 270mph (hasn't happened yet) but still waiting. The mustang did 251mph with tuning. The JUN Z can now hit over 270mph, all with the VG V6.

Shit, the JUN 1991 300ZX still holds the world landspeed record going over 260mph (419+km/h) and best run at 267+mph (424.740km/h) with the street VG30DETT V6. of course it's heavily tuned, but a record at that speed with a twin turbo 3.1 litre V6 is no joke.
