  • Are those Danish tenks sent in Bosnia by NATO in 1992 ?

  • Snowman I came to the USA at 10 yrs old. My thanks to the USA for saving me was joining the marine corps. I finally got out a couple years ago and visited Bosnia, it truly is beautiful to see how quick it's recovering. Im also from brcko one of the most mixed cities and it was beautiful seeing serbs, croats, and us getting along. Politicians almost ruined a beautiful country. If you decide to visit, take a week and go to the Adriatic sea you won't regret it ;-)

  • @erko78 oh im from derventa, and im half bosnian and thank god bosnia has recovered quickly and i have an uncle named erko :D plus ur cool.

  • @Mymariodude Haha nice man! My best friend in the USA is a guy from derventa :)

  • Two erkos on here haha?! I'm from Bosnia and regardless of what happened I love all Serbs Croats and bosnians, this should be a lesson to every future generation, to never allow politics to cause what happened in Bosnia. Much thanks to the USA and all countries that helped.

  • IFOR was Bosnia i shoud know i was there with the British Army in 95-96

  • 2nd/75th Combat Medic ready and able- the kids in orphanages I help pull sickcall on are some the best memories I have. The worst are the homes and mass graves we found from time to time. The summer was the worst when you found a grave. Just glad it's over in person-never really over though.

  • It was KFOR moron, IFOR is Afghanistan

  • @Colin21233 If anyone is a moron. Then IT is you my friend. This is footage from my unit 15/16 years ago. One should think that I would know which mission I was on.

KFOR is Kosovo, ISAF Is Afghanistan. IFOR and then SFOR was in Bosnia. And before that UNPROFOR.

Check the facts. Before calling anyone morons.

  • @hjortby Sorry you're right my bad it was IFOR, KFOR, and SFOR, how condusing, was thinking ISAF for IFOR, to many damn acronmys

  • @Colin21233 No problem

  • you say tomato, we say tomato, lets call the whole thing off!! IFOR Lapel badges NOW on ebay, worldwide sales -search by IFOR NATO Lapel/tiepin - or ebay seller eliteshoes69

  • @hjortby indeed.

  • @Colin21233 IFOR were Implementation Force invented in 20 December 1995 to 1996 to serve in Bosnia and Hercegovina

  • @Colin21233

IFOR is a NATO peacekeeping mission in Bosnia. It went from 20 December 1995 to 12 December 1996 when it was transferred to the SFOR. It was replaced by the EUFOR Althea, on 2 December 2004 at NATO HQ, Camp Butmir, Sarajevo, Bosnia. The EUFOR Althea still went on to this day.

KFOR is NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo. It went in effect in 12 June 1999 until to this day.

ISAF is a NATO security mission in Afghanistan. It went in effect in 20 December 2001 until to this day.

  • I proudly served with IFOR First Brigade First Armored Division 3-5 Cav in The Brchko Area December/Jan95 to November 96...I totally agree with you bixlerscott! I feel the same way. I went back with SFOR and now I would love to go back as a tourist....It cannot be forgotten...thanks

  • I knew santa is black.. lol...

  • bixlerscott- im from bosnia and for you to say that is very respectful! It's sad how long it took people to open their eyes and help but shows me there are still good people out there who have a good head heart! Thanks again and Bosnia will welcome you any time you would wanna come!!!!! Its a very beautiful place with lots to see and do!

  • @erko78 I was in Bosnia in 2001 and again in 2003. On the road from Kljuc to Tito Drvar and from Kljuc to Velika Kladusa there is a great deal of very beautiful country.

Some day, if i`m lucky I can go back and see just how Bosnia made out after all that happened.

  • A piece of military history that shouldn't be forgotten or swept under the carpet. I think it's a lesson to see first hand a nation fall and rise in just a few short years. It's astounding how much pain, risk, and work is involved in a mission, but I must say I'm proud to have been a part of a huge success in the making. Blew my mind. It blows my mind even more to see how modern today's Bosnia is in other videos. It's ultra modern, but still holds traditional beauty. I want to go as a tourist.
