Hi i was wondering how u interface the wiimote in controlliing the arm. I have a teensy development board and want to use it communicate with the lcpxpresso lpc 1769. I have a bluetooth adapter(dongle) and want to use the wiimote in controlling a robotic arm but have difficulties with communicating the teensy and lpcxpresso. Do u have any ideas will appreciate it thanks
Check out my channel. I have a completely wireless robot, however, it does not use a Wii Remote. I am negotiating with Cypress Semiconductors about acquiring a bluetooth module. I hope to make it balance next.
I know I bought it but the controller is wireless powered by bluetooth and the hummer was like $400 in canadian and god it was worth it and I already lost the remote that controls the hummer but doesn't matter because the wii remote is the same thing but instead of taking 2 watch batteries it takes 2 AA batteries
I have a R/C Hummer that's not lego and it's has a controller but it takes those stupid 4V batteries like a watch battery but it's so cool because the wii remote and with the numchuk like yours controlles same way but it doesn't need a comp it already has bluetooth already built in so I connect and boom up and running
Wow, that's most impressive. Great work! I heard you say "Took too many hours to do", I can't remember the exact quote, but it looks like it was worth it.
yeah, I wasn't too exciting... but it was 3am and my roommates were asleep in the other room so I had to speak quietly. Had to take it apart the next day for another assignment too so thats all I could get away with.
Hey guys, thanks for positive feedback on our robot. We did indeed put a camera on it, that was part of the urban search and rescue project. Getting a low center of gravity was one of the toughest parts, as well as bitpacking the signal from the wii controllers to decrease latency.

Very cool! How did you implement pan+tilt+left wheels+right wheels=4 motors? I thought that the rcx has only 3 outputs...

Cool, but seems like a lot of work to use the Wiimote. Seems like a 360 or PS3 controller would be easier to use.

The only thing you have to do next, is making a wireless receiver for the robot and for the camera. Nice thing you made!!
