GOLFERGAL --- Mark D. is not the teaching pastor at this church, Rob Bell is. Otherwise, the controversy is merely in the application of the theology, which has gone on since Paul and Apollos in the book of Acts. If you're truly Biblical, you'd understand that the message Paul says in Acts is clear: it doesn't matter who is the better communicator or who is more charismatic, if Christ and the Cross is @ the center, it is worth listening to and learning from.
Mark Driscoll is out of line with the gospel, but he is at the Mars Hill in WA, this is the mars hill in grand rapids, MI. Rob Bell is the pastor, who is also very out of line with Truth of Scripture and a big name in the emergent church movement. His teachings are full of pluralistic and new age themes.
Ooh! 15th! This was just a couple of weeks after an orchestra used this song for Hillsong Conference in Sydney. I had no idea it was a gospel song before the Verve used it. Very beautiful. I would love to go to Mars Hill one day.
