do not you know it! The interlaced image is nothing to do with it! read lots of Wikipedia! The HD is not equal with FULLHD(1080p)! hd tv = 1280/720p (progressive) HDV 1080i = 1440 * 1080i (mpg2 interlaced) HDV 1080p = 1440 *1080p (mpg2 progressive) Other = 1920 * 1080i FullHD (AVCHD mpg4 interlaced) Other FullHD 1080p = 1920 *1080p (fullframe) Digital Cinema - 2048x1080 (only fullframe) All high-definition format, independent of the interlaced image!

I only have sony vegas 9 platinum, so if i bought this camera could I still edit and get the same crystal clear HD results as if i edited with Vegas Pro? I'm worried that there is a difference.
the hdr fx1000 just because it records 4:2:2 then it compreses it to hdv wich is 4:2:0, if you get it out while recording via the component to a recording device or laptop you actually get a way better picture quality because of the 4:2:2.
slow motion? do you even read titles of the yt video you watch? The HVR1000 is a great camera for quick on the road or smaller location recording, you have to tweak some balance/weight issues and extra audio input, but for about 1.5k for a set you cant find anything similar

No, that is full hd. Full HD: 1080 Lines, interlaced or progressive. HD Ready means that the TV supports HD signals
