Any Chumbawamba haters - please fuck off and leave this band alone. The music they play is technically very good even if you don't like the style (and yes, I think the same usually goes for Metallica from what I've heard). So what if they misunderstood what was said in the interview? Just think of the song as a protest against Guantanamo Bay and its real supporters and move on if you still don't like it. End of rant :)

I'm a blues fan. I don't know too much about Metallica but I know what I have herd is good music. These 'chumpster' guys are pathetic. They have no career and insult other people to try and gain popularity. Why do some has-been so called 'musicians' think that their opinions are more valid than other people.

I think this band had one hit after criticising the government at a 90's Brit award show. Well done, but now they seem to think they are the Sex Pistols and are still trying to use criticism to further their career. Good luck to them, but the Sex Pistols had good songs! I saw the clip. James was asked a really stupid question. He said he was glad they were using Metallica's music to keep the troops motivated. He didn't say any of they rubbish that is said here. Metallica are well known for writing anti war songs and keeping out of politics.

In the interview James was actually asked a very ambiguous question. It seemed as if they were asking if it was OK for Metallica's music to be used to motivate the US troops. He was confused by the question (as I was when I watched the video). He did not make any of the statements that are claimed in this video.

I can see why this song was made, but it comes across as a handful of silly do gooders jumping on a bandwagon.

It's not like Metallica's music is being specifically made to torture people. The way in which Hetfield "supported" the use of torture was more in the way of a joke.

Saying that, some of the lyrics here are pretty funny, but songs like this are pointless and lack any passion.
