I don't think this is racist. The idea of the ad is that things are not always what they seem. A man offering an unattended child a balloon on the street can appear to be a sexual predator or could be someone returning it from a place the child could not reach. A toothpaste that does not look as toothpaste normally does is not necessary disgusting. I don't think this is racist. The idea of the ad is that things are not always what they seem. A man offering an unattended child a balloon on the street can appear to be a sexual predator or could be someone returning it from a place the child could not reach. A toothpaste that does not look as toothpaste normally does is not necessary disgusting. Using the black man to link the two possibilities is apparently not as effective as they had hoped, but also is not the most unusual thing in an ad.

the point of the commercial is not about racism, the toothpaste itself it's dark in color and when people think of toothpaste they think of white creamy stuff but this toothpaste is made from herbal ingredients so the color is different so the commercial is trying to say that it doesn't have to be white to be good
