i must admit, it is rather hard to accept dawah from Hanan Turk. Just because you wear hijab doesn't instantly make you a Islamic Scholar. She is not well read or learned enough to speak on behalf of Islam. She should only tell people her own persaonal journey and story. I am so happy for her and for her religious conviction but, when I buy a book on Islam, the author must be qualified. Hanan, you are not!
She needs to stick to acting. She chose to wear the hijab, now please spare us the preaching, she is making it a big deal. Many actresses have worn the hijab before her, but none of them have sought exposure as Hanan Turk.

In any case hijabs are ugly thats the problem. Hanan is for some reason under pressure to wear this hijab, nobody would wear such a thing without society pressure. She just destroyed her beauty. Man when do you start covering up flowers and butterflies in egypt?
She believes in it, why should she throw away her faith just because "hijabs are ugly", she didn't cover up or "destroy" her beauty by hijab, rather she covered up the sexual attractions in her body, she looks just as beautiful as ever, though I agree with some people, maybe to stick with the tunic and skirt was better, but maybe her faith has realy improved, who are we to judge her? Repentence is not a thing to be trifled with or underestimated.
what the hell so now hanan turk is a da3iya or what? i dont understand those egyptian actresses these days all of a suuden they turn into hijab and islam as if they sinned big time. hanan turk even if she is rabi3a al3adawiya i still dont like her and i never did, she is pathetic.
Actually, they usually are already muslims, they just dont' practice. You're right it has become some sort of trend, but I doubt actresses would leave the glamourous, slutty dresses, just to make a da3iya, we must hold that their repentence is sincere, and God is all knowing.
Look daloo3a..I respect your reply.bas awalan..are u muslim?? akeed if ur muslim enti 3arfa en el hegab dah fard zay el salah we som we keda...we lama nela2ey banat keteer et7agebet we should be happy not sad..and Iam very proud en mo3zam el banat fe masr are now mo7agabat we Rabbina yehdee el gamee3 weysabet el gamee3..Ameen..
i am a muslima and ur soo happy that the girls are mu7agabat becoz ur a guy judging by ur name. el hijab mosh fard zay el som we el salah otherwise it would have been sades arkan el islam bas homa khamsa bas. im not against el hijab bas im against how they r not giving the choice nemore most girls today feel obliged that they have to wear it. my cousins wife didnt wear it b4 but now she had to 3ashan te3raf te3eesh or thats wat she said and she also told me
daloo3a..first of all iam a girl..I just posted my last comment from my brother's account. I understand what you are saying, and i agree that it's sad that the girls now dont wear the hijab because they are religious, rather they wear it as a game :(
exactly thats my point wear it if u really believe it not becoz actresses r wearing it n becoz el moda lel mo7agabat now is more fashionable becoz when the moda finishes it means they will take it off, and thats not good but at the same time if u dont wanna wear it u shouldnt have to
ok and that's why I told you I agree with your point that the hijab is not a game and once you wear it, you shouldnt take it off.what I disagreed on, was when u said that the hijab is not a fard. because it is :)
that a lot of girls put on el hijab 3ashan ye3rafoh ye3oosho we ma7desh yedaye2hom. also they would be considered christian and may treated badly. n if they r revealed to muslimah we mosh mo7agabah they wud be treated even worse. also if she spent sooo long to educate herself y does she want other girls to wear it 3ashan bartaman el 3asal she should educate them from wat she learnt not simplify it so much.
also u prove the point that many ppl who live in egypt or go egypt a lot say to me. which is the men r soooo happy about it becoz it means women are covered and the fundemanalism in egypt has taken women backwards. also i heard from soo many ppl that many guys test their fiancees by asking her to wear the hijab just to see heya hatesma3 el kalam wala la2. so even if they dont want her to wear it they ask her to see heya motee3a wala la2.
and many of these mo7agabat come here n take off the hijab from the airport and cant to get their hair done and they always say if it wasnt for circumstances in egypt they wouldnt wear it. the sadness is its not done for iman its done out of having no choice. ya khosara masr kanet balad mo3tadel. but no more
..And about u saying the hijab is not a fard, actually it is :) maybe it's not written in the arkan el khamsa, bas it's written in the Quran And Allah's words are true :) And we have to follow Allah's commands
