Ganz schön :) Aber wenn man den 530 d fährt ist der Signum im Vergleich der "Schlechtere". Der BMW Reihensechszylinder 3 Liter Hubraum hört sich richtig bärig an. Und er ist laufruhig wie kein zweiter. Läuft sanft und geschmeidig und hat einen Monsterklang und richtig Drehmoment.

@ShaolinPatrick richtig drehmoment hat der 3.0CDTI auch nur sollte man wenn man es auf beschleunigung abgesehen hat n MG nehmen die automatik arbeitet ziemlich träge!

der sound des signums is hammer es ist schwer einen zu finden der sich genau so anhört weil MB hat ein helles nageln und die TDI´s muss ich ja nicht erwähnen xD

und von der automatik her können sich ALLE eine scheibe abschneiden der schaltet so sauber und weich wie kein anderes

Geiler Motor ich hab den selben Motor allerdings im Vectra und muss sagen das meiner um einiges schneller Beschleunigt. Hab aber auch manuelles Getriebe :)

that's true but you can't say that 3.0d from bmw, or 320 cdi from MB isn't smooth. Also, if you take in consideration the 250 cdi engine (2.2L, 204 hp, 500Nm) then this engine looks really overrun by modern manufacters.

BMW's first 3.0diesel produced the same power output as this V6 Signum (135kW). This Japanese engine is ageing quickly. 3.0 BMWs nowdays produce more than 500Nm with one turbo...

I've driven many cars, despite me being only 18, but I can confidently say that a V6CDTi is the best in value for money.

that's true, but that bimmer was back in the 90's beginning of 2000. don't get me wrong I'm not saying that this car has a bad engine, just it's a little short on power if you take in consideration the 3.0L displacement (bigger taxes, consumption etc.) comparing with a more economical 2.0 / 2.2 Turbo Diesel from other manufacturers

@wtcvictim well maybe so, but the torque is amazing and 0-60 quite good for an auto and a heavy car. I would happily drive one of those as they are quiet and return a decent MPG.  Good car! Driving isn't all about BHP.

1. 525d is an inline 6 not a v6. Anyway 525 2500cc - provided 177 PS while the 3000cc 197 PS. At that time 530d with the same engine was availlable with 211 / 231 PS .

2. 2.7 tdi another smaller engine while top of the line 3.0 TDI was putting down 225 PS.
