Lol can anyone actually DO these combos with thor in the game? He's a lot slower than most of the characters, especially when you're playing people online! A lot of his moves are telegraphes. The mighty smash/mighty strike combo works for me but as soon as I try to do the combos here? The other player always hits me before I can hit him. Thors moves are slow but powerful. Which is strange because base don the comics he should be fast too.
@BA0424 Because of Online Lag, Thor is gonna feel slower than he really is. The problem online is not his speed but his slow attacks. Because of hit stun decay, doing long combos is difficult because you have to press the buttons faster as you extend the combos up to it's limit. I find myself dropping combos I normally don't. It's probably why a lot of people don't play Thor because you can really feel his speed lag when you play online.

The best thing about Thor is they can very easily make his alt color costumes into his original and simonson armor without tweeking much but clever coloring. For Classic, they just need to flesh tone his arms, keep the tunic as is, color his pants blue, and the boots yellow under the knee pads, easy as pie! And the simonson armor is just a blue tunic with gold replacing all the silver and the lower half of hid boots, you listening CAPCOM?

To be honest, I don't see how you could view Thor as "overpowered" in most contexts. I've always thought him, Silver Surfer, and Classic Dr. Strange were the three most powerful heroes in Marvel. Thor's obviously been toned down in this game, otherwise he'd be one-shotting people left and right. Still, I think him being one of the most powerful characters in the game makes sense. He doesn't look too cheap either judging from the gameplay, so it's all good to me.

Not to mention the few ways he beats hulk unarmed via bear hug godblast or just vast amount of lightning stikes. The fight is ion thor's court if he goes for the win.

The hulkdoes have regerenative powers that give him an edge in hand to hand, but witth the Hammer its overkill, in Hulk annual 2002 Thor smashed his hand and skull putting hulk in a helpless senerio on his stomach, if Thor was in bloodlust mode hulk would have god wrecked bad, you have to respect the hammer, its a weapon after all, so Hulk only gets a 25% shot if Thor goes hand to hand.

I would've liked thor to be the boss or pre-boss or something like that cause in nearly everything you have to do special things to fight or play as him but luckily marvel vs capcom 3 is making it different

To be honest, I don't see how you could view Thor as "overpowered" in most contexts. I've always thought him, Silver Surfer, and Classic Dr. Strange were the three most powerful heroes in Marvel. Thor's obviously been toned down in this game, otherwise he'd be one-shotting people left and right. Still, I think him being one of the most powerful characters in the game makes sense. He doesn't look too cheap either judging from the gameplay, so it's all good to me.

Yeah, he's definitely in, you can see his silhouette in the short version of the Episode 1 trailer, he's doing his classic head-scratching "What happened?" pose from the previous MvC games. Plus the Daily Bugle stage should be evidence enough he's in.

Hey bro if you dont believe me about Thor being called the Avengers mightiest hero, just look up the discription to his upcoming story line, it says he must face a threat that only earths migthiest Avenger can face, lool bro Hulk is the Strongest one there is, but he is far from the Most powerfull, Hulk annual 2002 clearly says that Hulk "MAY" be stronger but Thor "PROVED" to be the more powerful of the two! PROVED is way more of a statement than MAY. Just saying.

I meant Hulk has a 25% shot depending on how the fight goes, that 25% factors into Thor going hammerless or is seperated from it somehow, the rest of The 75% goes to Thor who has a vast amount of ways to beat hulk with Mjolnir. Not to mention the few ways he beats hulk unarmed via bear hug godblast or just vast amount of lightning stikes. The fight is ion thor's court if he goes for the win.

@Nickzambuto. I think hulk only gets 50/50 shot if Thor plays by his game. The hulkdoes have regerenative powers that give him an edge in hand to hand, but witth the Hammer its overkill, in Hulk annual 2002 Thor smashed his hand and skull putting hulk in a helpless senerio on his stomach, if Thor was in bloodlust mode hulk would have god wrecked bad, you have to respect the hammer, its a weapon after all, so Hulk only gets a 25% shot if Thor goes hand to hand.

@jakethebank, I know man, they were locked un a test of strength for over an hour without hulk getting any more stronger than Thor, so how long does he need to suoass him, a fucking day, a week?
