@thebikerboi2 Business wise, they're turned into a buzzword - clever marketing, but not much else. The design of the iPhone is inconvenient. At least with non Apple product I can replace the battery with ease and $20. I don't have to jailbreak it. I don't get the same aesthetic problems (I've never had a problem with reception due to a badly placed cosmetic.) Quiet frankly, if I'm going to spend over a grand on a phone, it's not going to be on something that's inferior the day it's released.

The reception was horrible (reception, which is vital to my job) and it was explained to me that the "band" around the sides interfered with the reception. I returned it to my boss and had an LG X2 sent over (varies with the name country to country) and I've never had a problem with it. Not only is it more powerful, but I can access the root folder and modify the OS without so much as a second thought.

@thebikerboi2 I use Telstra, for starters. They're the only carrier that I can use overseas and get decent reception with. I have never had a problem with any other phone (including Nokias, which is a miracle.) And because of all the travelling I do, taking a laptop can be inconvenient for entertainment - 32 gig isn't much room when your flight is over 20 hours long. Having the option to change Micro SD cards and optimising the space > iphone's crappy built in memory.

Look guys! I have had a play with the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Ok it works reasonably well, but definitely not as smooth and polished as a iPad. It's in our local Tesco store which says it all. Sell them to the masses. It's not exactly cheap at £500 either. It does not have that exclusiveness and quality feel of the Apple machines. I played around with on more than one occasion as well. I just prefer the iPad over the Tab, like I prefer the MacBook Pro over my poorly made Sony Vaio TZ.
