I used to love watching this show on TV, but the love songs and lip kisses between brother and sister seemed strange.

In this clip 512R1H4, says there is a "duo" with Donny and Marie. The duet was with Donny and his wife, I believe.

I agree, Bunny. How can anyone hate such a down-to-earth, all-American guy like Donny and such a lovely, sweet lady like Debbie? Heck, how can anybody hate ANY of the Osmonds? I mean, sure there were floods of tears from the millions of girls who dreamed of marrying Donny, but hate mail to an Osmond? That's really hitting below the belt.

Donny and Debbie were newlyweds that year! :-) Poor guy .. many many fans hated him for a long time for getting married, and they would send her hate mail. Although I was just a kid myself, I am thankful to say I didn't stoop to that level. Debbie is a pretty lady, and very sweet. Eventually people came around to loving her.
