  • can i have chills listening??

  • Reminds me of the good old days as a child. I love Disney

  • Death Metal! >.<

  • YEEEAAHH im pretty suree thats a Clarinet solo in the beginning.. well thru out the song XD .. Yay :))

  • This is so pretty... too bad that some people cant enjoy this... rly 23 persons? why did they enterd in this video if they dont like classic music? Is simply stupid!

    ~Alice

  • When I listen to this I'm 5 years old again pretending to be a foreign princess. I would walk with a book on my head for as long as I could and talk like I was in the 1800's lol. But still, what girl HASN'T wanted to be a princess at some point? That would be magical...*twinkle twinkle*

  • I NEED MORE CHIMES!

  • this song was in lego batman the game

  • I think there is no more romantic melody than a waltz. It is a shame that today people forgot these beautiful melodies.

  • I can't hear this song anymore without thinking of Bioshock.

  • this need a song i sing and we was sing it at school

  • beautiful music! Great

  • I really love this piece! its been stuck in my head all weak!

  • Anyone know which version of the Waltz this is? As in, which symphony/group played THIS particular rendition?

  • @yuptydoo Same question here... this seems to be the version I remember hearing when I was young.

  • @WeirdsAGoodThing I would. I love waltzes they are a beautiful and elegant dance.

  • when i listen to it..alfalfa comes directly to my mind lol.. [little rascals]

  • Any guys out there who would like, or be at least WILLING to ask a girl to waltz?

  • @WeirdsAGoodThing

If I knew how to dance, and knew a woman who appreciated classical, and knew exactly how to dress TO a waltz, and found a place that hosts waltzes, then yes, yes I would.

  • @yuptydoo It doesn't matter, the thought is still sweet!

  • now i can finish sander cohens masterpiece.

  • Thankyou Bioshock for making this tune creep me out and start looking around for ambushing Splicers.

  • Fly away, little moth!!! FLYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

  • @Skyntalor awwww cutie moth

  • nutcrackerrr...

yeah i couldnt dance at all to this without breaking out into the choreography

  • i'm dancing this for a 15 xv party

  • 17 years old and i rather go to a royal 1800s party than a normal party today. I think Waltzing is much better than the type of dancing going on today. I was born at the wrong time :(

  • @Johnnydepplover161 you're not the only one

  • @Johnnydepplover161 So many of us were. We all need a place were we can live freely as if it was the 1800s. (But still have some technology and indoor pluming of course). :D

  • @Johnnydepplover161

I'd show up too, but I'd subsequently be kicked out (and forced back to work) on account of being a "coolie".

Some things are just not meant to be =\

  • @Johnnydepplover161 Lol same here man!! We are standed in the wrong time....

  • @Johnnydepplover161 I'm 17 as well and i think it just like you...

    you are not alone,dont worry!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Johnnydepplover161 Glad i am not the only one thinking that :)

  • @Johnnydepplover161 ikr i was too i wish i was a indian i also wish i was a wolf lol but God knows best :3

  • @Johnnydepplover161 is that dancing what they do at a "this-time-party"? I thought they were just jumping around.... my bad

  • @Johnnydepplover161

can't quite grind to this im afraid.

  • @Johnnydepplover161 If you'd prefer to be dancing a rigid, structured, pre-programmed routine, then you don't truly understand dance.

  • @mcgorgomagan Rather than dancing an undisciplined, degenerate ape-dance.

  • @mcgorgomagan I don't even think you realise how many types of dance come from compositions like these.

  • @Johnnydepplover161 I hear you, I'm 13 and feel the exact same way. If I could dance to a beautiful song like this with a beautiful woman in my arms my life would be complete. Oh how the times have changed....

  • @jackram2h2 Wow, a 13 year old BOY willing to waltz? Incredibly rare- but simultaneously instantly charming. And this is coming from a girl.

  • @WeirdsAGoodThing Thank you! I told my friends once about wanting to waltz and they shrugged me off and called me gay. I wish I had a friend like you to back me up on this. I think it would be interesting for them to hear it from a girls perspective. :)

  • @jackram2h2 Aw, thank you. Maybe you should tell your friends this: they may think waltzing is "gay" now, but in the end who's going to get the most attention from girls? Besides, you seem really sweet and polite. Guys commonly make the mistake of forgetting about what girls think.

  • @WeirdsAGoodThing Very true my friend. It's just too bad that today's society has changed so much. Nobody will ever truly realize the beauty of our past culture's way of life and traditions. Ah how people like you and me we born in the wrong generation....Oh well, it's great to be alive right? And thank you.

  • @jackram2h2 Agreed. And your welcome.

  • @Johnnydepplover161

    Yea.... *sad face*

  • @Johnnydepplover161 At 16 years old, I agree.

  • @Johnnydepplover161 take confert that your not alone ^^

  • This music came from gay person. So,screw homophobia!

  • i love ballet and this song is so pretty i whant to be a balerina wen i grow up and wen i hear this it make me whant to be a balerina even mor!

  • Это пркекрасно

  • Reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy

  • @Tudhaliya

    I Agree With You 100%

  • SMILE! SMILE!!

  • The most beautiful waltz ever composed.

  • This song goes with everything.

  • SCREW YOU! SCREW ALL YOU FUCKING DOUBTERS!!!

  • @TechUnadept

    Sander Cohen? ;)

  • @Primadonna27 you know it.

  • @TechUnadept

    awesome :)

  • ahh i feel like im in a castle

  • Sander Cohen

  • Hi everyone! I have a question, which version of this waltz of Tchaikovsky it is? I mean the songs version, tempo? I need this song for my weddings first dance, but in this tempo (speed), and i cant find defenitely this one, could everyone help me to download this waltz of Tchaikovsky in this speed, or give some link where i can download free without problems! Thanks

  • @david02b just type in google "youtube to mp3 converter" and you can download the song from this video in that way...there is one called video2mp3 and you just paste the link of the youtube video in the space for it and convert it, then you download it. Don't worry if it appears an ad instead, just press the go back button. Good Luck and congratulations!

  • I love this song. I want to listen to this all day long

  • si,es la mas bella musica y acompanado de este video es magnifico.

  • @rogerthat155, I agree , this music makes more sense than that GaGa girl , I mean like what goes on in her mind.

  • They don't make music like this anymore. Lady Gaga can piss off, I rock out to this shit. LOL

  • The feeling I get starting at :20 is just magical...

  • @spartansfan1026 Er, what I should have said is that the feeling I get from this song is magical!

  • @juresaiyan, you are not retarded in fact i wish there were more guys like you around. I like a guy who loves the classics.

My favorite is Vivaldi's four seasons

  • @MsCavalia This waltz is actually one of my favourite classic pieces of all time next to Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 Part 2.

  • @Sweetaslily, i could imagine dancing with a prince to this *sigh*

  • Sometimes, I throw on a tutu and dance to this...don't judge. : ]

  • LOVE IT!!!! It is soooo beautiful.

  • @juresayian No Problem and Thank You very much

  • Am I stupid for not attending drunken parties, and just wanting to dance in peace with a girl to this waltz?? Am I too romantic for this retarded age???

  • @juresaiyan Yes, yes you are.

  • @juresaiyan no you are wonderful there are not of guys like that out there I kinda actually wish for

a guy like that instead of a gangster guy or so called cool guy but society can be very cruel to people who are not like them

  • @Vanillasnowflakes thanks. you are very sweet. :)

  • @juresaiyan i know exactly how you feel my friend ;)

  • @juresaiyan Nope, just from the ''old'' stamp.

    Same here.

  • @juresaiyan That's Like, A Dream :D

  • Comment removed

  • @juresaiyan Actually a lot of girls would swoon over you for just saying that.

  • @WeirdsAGoodThing i seriously doubt that.

  • @juresaiyan Trust me I'm a girl. That sounds wonderful. There aren't a lot of young guys anymore that would be willing to dance (well, the waltz anyway); even with their girlfriends and wives. It's a pleasant change to hear that there's at least SOME gentlemen left for us.

  • @WeirdsAGoodThing thank you. you're very very kind. :)

  • @juresaiyan It's only the truth. I'm so sick of guys only wanting to bump and grind to crappy music! x

  • @juresaiyan

You sir are the epitome of the kind of males this world needs.

  • @LadyKokoa wow, i'm flattered. thanks. :)

  • @juresaiyan well I go to drunken parties quite often, and listen to Drum and Bass, Punk. And still I just adore classical music, and movie soundtracks. Never judge a person too soon :).

  • @CrainerEU I was spaking about my preferences. I don't care if you go partying and like classical music at the same time. To each his own.

  • @juresaiyan Hun, I think there are lots of girls out there who'd love to just that. And you're definately not stupid, I certainly don't attend drunken parties and I do prefer listening to classical music. But I am literally the only one in my grade who does. So people who enjoy tasteful things such as that, are hard to find nowadays, but they do exist, Otherwise you and I would not exist :D

  • @ZetaAdele that's so sweet of you. thanks.

  • @juresaiyan That is lovely! I think she will be one lucky lady. I myself dislike drunk parties etc aswell. I prefer to listen to music myself, not in a club

  • @juresaiyan

OMG! where are u??????i will get there in one sec ! what a special man

  • @juresaiyan

OMG! where are u??????i will get there in one sec ! what a special man

  • @ABB1115RB :)

  • @juresaiyan world needs more guys like you..

  • @juresaiyan That depends how old are you??? :)

  • @PinkyBlue159 I'm 21.

  • @juresaiyan If it's anything, I don't think you're too romantic for this age! :) I think thats really sweet :) :)

  • @juresaiyan If it's anything, I don't think you're too romantic for this age! :) I think thats really sweet

  • @juresaiyan

No. Guys like us are common, but the media doesn't want girls to know that real men are out there nowadays.

  • @yuptydoo i believe so

  • @juresaiyan

Well, then! Let's bring Romanticism back, you and I, one day at a time.

  • @yuptydoo :). I'd love that.

  • @yuptydoo Happy to hear that there are men who have brilliant taste of music!

  • @N

Unfortunately for me, I happen to live in California's Bay Area, and the music scene here is anything but "brilliant".

Since I would rather listen to opera than dubstep, and would pass up a day at the mall for a chance to immerse myself in some Henry James, Poe, Dostoevsky, Dickens, Austen, or even Steinbeck, I find myself quite..."intellectually isolated".

In short, my equally elegant friend, I am the representative of a dying breed.

  • @yuptydoo I understand some of the things you said, when ever classmates talk about a rihanna concert or such, i get shivers, I don;t lik her music at all. I don't have many people who like this music around me, in fact, none. My friends and family hardly know Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi and so on. It is a shame that people don't see the beauty of this music. Kind regards from The Netherlands :)

  • @yuptydoo May I have this dance?

  • @RRRage

    Haha, I wish!

I never learned how to waltz... =\

  • @juresaiyan No, you are not. That way of thinking is refreshing!

  • @juresaiyan No, but you're retarded to thumbs-up yourself 107 times.

  • Comment removed

  • @juresaiyan -waltzes with you-

  • Comment removed

  • @juresaiyan absolutely NOT!!

  • @juresaiyan I'm envious of your girl or any girl you will love she's incredibly lucky :)

  • @Skaielements thanks, much too kind words for me. :)

  • Excuse me if you disagree, but I like very much how this was used in the game Bioshock.

  • @MrParadoxofTime fly fly littel moth

  • Thumbs up if Sander Cohen freaks you out...

  • Maravilhoso.

  • I played this in orchestra before I played Bioshock. It does make me sad that some people didn't know of this before the game but, better late than never. Btw, I actually was not a huge fan of this song until Bioshock (despite playing it) I'm not saying it's not good, I was just ignorant to how amazing the song was before the game forced a new.... "perspective" on it.

  • @b

The reason I don't mind Bioshock's usage of the song is the same reason I didn't mind when Guitar Hero used Black Sabbath and Megadeth songs, instead of say, Green Day or Bowling For Soup or whatever inanity kids listened to back then: beggars can't be choosers, and I'd rather that people learn about such monoliths of the Classical era through games, than there not be any more exposure for these songs left in the media.

I myself learned most of the songs through movies and '90s cartoons. =)

  • This song is playing in Fort Frolic in Bioshock :)

  • my favourite composer ever

  • @hulik243 In Russia, music conquers you. And that is entirely true, no matter who you are or where you are because music has no bounds. I also hope that this can someday do an effect so large that one of it's effects is world peace. However, it doesn't seem possible for now, and that's why music.....Nevermind.....

  • Wonderful! Thanks!

  • Wonderful. Well, I'm an amateur composer, and I admire Tchaikovsky. I'm composing a ballet, see my Pas de Deux and Waltz on my channel.

  • this is like god's music

  • @DianaGilyadov1 nope, its Tchaikovskys

    Tchaikovsky > god

  • I'm a guy and I can say I would love to dance to this at my wedding with my beautiful bride

  • amazing..

  • RUSSIA made thsi music,

    PETR TCHAIKOVSKIY !!

    Russia !

  • Formidable!!! Una maravilla, lastima no saber la orquesta y el director, aunque no me extrañaria que fueran rusos, tanto la orquesta como el director.

  • This was amazing! =D I'm so glad that I have this piece for piano solo.

  • I love this song!!!

  • I don't know about you guys, but when I was listening to this I imagined myself in a pretty pink old-fashioned dress dancing and ballet-twirling around a cool Victorian mansion! I love this song SOOOOOOOOO much! It reminds me of royalty, love, compassion, ect. It's so heart-warming and relaxing! <3333

  • A true masterpiece. Always a masterpiece.

  • 1:56 just owns so hard. God I love this song.

  • The best moment when I heard this out of the many times I have listened to it was the time when it came out in the video game Bioshock, the first one. The were was an intense moment of getting attack by creatures and you fight intensely.

  • Nice garden. Swimming with the bulls anyone?

  • why do i have to think of Barbie - the nut cracker?..

  • Girls don't you imagine yourself dancing in a pretty dress , with a good looking prince who made you jump ?

PS: sorry for the mistakes, i'm french.

  • @Sweetaslily Yes... dancing in a moonlit garden with the scent of gardenias and roses... and 1:54 is the sound your heart makes when you realize you're in love with him and there's no turning back...

PS: you made no mistakes - and sorry for the runaway imagination, I'm American... :)

  • @nightswimmer99 No excuses for your wild imagination, I got the same here! ^_^

Oh when I listen to this masterpiece, I can hardly stop myself thinking of the big love (oh dunno if this expression exists in english...nevermind) and seeing myself wearing a dress like Scarlett O'Hara's

  • @Sweetaslily The English term is "grand passion". I don't know the French term, so feel free to share. :)

  • @nightswimmer99 Pretty much the same as in French : "le grand amour" =D

  • @nightswimmer99 The french term is "le grand amour". Beautiful don't you think.?
