To me, this is most certainly the most beautifully depicted scenes in all of animated history. When God raised his voice towards Moses, he showed power and authority, but immediately afterwards, there was the love of a father in his voice, a gentleness incomparable.
@TheTylermac4148 yes as you can see his face is of light no one can see it except for his son lord jesus. His brilliance is his face and it is of light its beautiful.
Y'know ... that couldn't be worded better. "I cannot be described. I simply am what I am." God knows what He is, and knows that words cannot convey His greatness--only experience can do that. Those words are just so powerful and ... RIGHT.
-You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Moses. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place as the king of Jews.
-How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be.
-Remember who you are. You are a son of God and the one true leader. Remember...
I'm the only who thinks this scene is eerily similar to that of Lion King's? :D
@DwightKoh93 not at all, my friend. I get emotional when I see this scene each time I watch this movie... When I cry, it is because I have glimpsed the beauty of the Lord's love for us.
@DwightKoh93 Why would it be weird? To feel inspired, awed or in wonder? What could be more "manly" than to truly feel alive? Got the tissues right here dude.
@TheYounghector I don't know, it's just that feeling. Whenever I watch this scene, I cry buckets sometimes. And I never cry this much in a movie before. Hahah, but thanks for the tissues, dude.
In medieval times arguing about God instead of witnessing caused the crusades, today in 2011 it causes world wide youtube fights... For those of us who are Christians do not argue with hatred, if you wish to witness use the kindness of God instead of using the Devil's way of fighting and hating...crap. Everyone has a right to believe or not believe.
@fhsfiddleboy09 who cares about different religion, if you love people you have to deserve the respect of everyone You have just believe on yourself and the good thing inside you.
I think what we're supposed to take away from God's Word is that unconditional love, charity, humbleness, virtue, will endear us in the eyes of the Lord. I believe many of the religions, if not all, have become corrupted with the self-righteous.
God has taught us His way, and we need only follow in His footsteps. Jesus, Moses, Mohammed, they all lived lives of righteousness, charity, and were examples for us to follow. It's up to us whether we do or not.
I am an atheist, but it was this scene that gave me a first sense of spiritual relief. I still dont belive god is a celestial being with a conscience and view God as just a force that i call Nature. But i still love how God is portrayed here and how he says that it was he who made death, which kinda shows that God was obligated to make death, because it is a painful necessity. As if God holds the burden of all the sins that exist. I look to my parents for love, but this scene enlightens me. :)
@croc560 Soo good man! I respect that you don't believe. But that's not going to make me say Jesus isn't Lord. --Hear me out on this, see, please don't take offense at us Christians. We're obligated to proclaim Christ as Lord, not just as simply another religion, not another choice out of many, but that it doesn't matter if you believe in God or not, He's the only Lord.-- Thats all, man. We just love you guys and beg and plead with tears, turn to Jesus! Please! Repent and believe the Bible!
@dzpisx I like the Jewish religion more than the Christian's, mostly because their films dont make me gag like Gibson's Passion of the Christ. If there was a message in that film, all i got was "Gibson is fucked up." Obligated? Who's making you? Dont you have free will? Sorry, but i dont worship dead people. Also I dont believe that Jesus was a son of God, cuz he was a human and all men are created equal so he is no better than anyone. He was a Jewish man that got himself killed, thats it.
@croc560 Well I am a Sola Scriptura Christian, meaning Bible only, and it says we must proclaim with our mouth Jesus is Lord.
Jesus is dead? Is that what you are saying?
Jesus was born of a virgin supernaturally. Christianity, the gospel of 200%'s. He was 100% man and 100% God. He called Himself the son of God and if we believe that and listen to Him, we'll be saved from condemnation! Welcome to the happy gospel!
@dzpisx So you obey a book written by an unknown author? Mary had a man named Joseph, for all we know the two got drunk and forgot or she just lied to get attention since she lived in poverty. Saved from what? I wasn't even born yet and my ancestors originated from Spain, not the middle east, and you portray Jesus as Caucasian, when in reality he would've looked like someone from the middle east. A virgin birth is impossible for a human, with animals being the only ones to have one and its rare
@dzpisx No mortal can be a God. He spoke out and gathered people in a cult-like behavior which would annoy anyone and was killed. He was a man who died a painful death, nothing more. This film makes me believe more in Moses and less in Jesus. I was given free will, so i choose not to bow to anyone. I exist because of the love of my parents and swear loyalty to nobody but my friends and family and will serve no being out of fear that never shows his face to me. I am free.
Religion is like a penis. Be proud to have one, but don't show it in public, don't talk about it in public, and don't shove it down our children's throats.
God/Yahweh created humans in his own image, per Genesis.
So then WHY when God eventually does show himself to humanity (via Moses), does God decide to do so by dressing up as a bush and lighting himself on fire?
Why not appear to us in His original image (looking like humans)?
Did Yahweh try to impress/confuse Moses by changing into a small shrubbery and torching himself?
I find this very odd/confusing. It almost sounds crazy.
@GodVlogger God forbid anyone to make an image of Him, and has never revealed His face. No one know why He chooses to hide Himself from us, but He does.
He revealed Himself as a few different images, and the burning bush is one of them.
It was symbolic. Notice the fire did not burn the bush. Like the fire, God is described as a "consuming fire", powerful and can be wrathful, but He loves us and chooses not to "burn" us if we love and obey Him.
@GodVlogger Like I said, it was symbolic. And the only thing it could've meant was something about who He is. He's not hell, so that's not why He appeared as fire. But He is powerful and consuming like fire.
And I think you've got the idea of Hell kinda wrong man, The [whole] Bible says the wicked sinners go there because they chose not to trust in God and they'd rather do what they want instead. It's like we either say, Your will be done, or we do it our way, God says to us, your will be done.
@GodVlogger The aspect of the image and likeness is not that God looks like a human. We bear His traits. We are very different from all other species on this planet. Unfortunately, sin corrupts everything and the image is marred. So, when we get angry, it is often out of pride rather than righteousness. We confuse love with lust and even ownership. We do not reflect God's character. Christ in His humanity bore the perfect image. God tells Moses why he can't see His face in Ex 33:20.
Before the fall, humans and God walked with each other. After sin entered, a fallen man could not be in the presence of God. Isaiah cries out, "Woe is me, for I am undone!" John, one of Jesus' most beloved disciples, collapses before the full glory of Christ in the opening chapter of Revelation. Man's response to the presence of God is the utter realization of what we are before Him and we shrink and cower until He says, "Do not be afraid." Such love and humility from the Almighty!
Yahweh, the god who created the universe and your eyes, who doesn't sit high and above us, He is willing to love us, care for us and deliver us from our "Pharaohs" while in dismay
there are some powerful quotes in this movie and this very scene i like this movie a lot it's so powerful I wonder how it looked when moses saw it..it must have been beautiful but I will know one day :)
@theboss181000 >Thank you for your comment. I really have to tell you that when your comment shook my Soul up specially when you said "Love God and you will know what Love Is" Excellent statement...
I AM WHO I AM.... one of my favourite passages from the bible, not a god of our own making or modeling, but a god who is, and was before the begining of everything
@MARIOvsSONICgirl yes me to when i see this scene my soul is feeling a warm glow. and i just read the english quran the last book of god, allah and the chapter tahah i read this surah about musa exaxtly just like this scene told. may god bless us.
@said1975 You know, in the Middle East, there's a plant, called a Cistus plant that releases a highly flammable gas that surrounds the area? It does this because when it ignites, the fire kills all of theo ther plants, and cracks open the hard shell on the seeds of the Cistus, allowing them to germinate, right? And that all ittakes is a slight spark, two rocks colliding even slightly, can cause ignition?
My point is, Moses wouldn't've known this, to him, it'd seem like the bush...
@said1975 seem like the bush... spontaneously ignited.
Of course, lacking any knowledge of this, he'd've thought it was supernatural, when, in fact, it can be simply explained with evidence, he would've attributed it to something else with no wevidence... a god of the gaps.
It's depressing that people still believe this nonsense when so much of it has been shown to be complete and utter bollocks.
@Vehementi how can u say its depressing that we believe in God, while He gives us hope that there is something better than this world. If not in Him then all hope is lost.
@MrGRISAD You sound depressed, going on about how you hope there's something more than this, and something better then this world. If you were content and happy in this world, then why would you be so desperate for more? Your life must be depressing if the belief in an afterlife is the only thing that gives this life meaning.
Also, I don't find that it's reality, I find it's the ramblings of primitive, bronze age goat herders. Real things leave behind evidence, imaginary things don't.
@Vehementi Hello again, me depressed I think not. I have possessions such as money, a nice car, and a job that many don't have and want, yet im only 23 years old. Through the eyes of the world money buys happiness correct, so then how can u say im depressed, while i have everything. Its good to have these things, its not a sin, but whats gonna happen to it when u die? Im not content with this world because we are made for much more than being born, living, & dying away.
If you want evidence of God, look everywhere around you, look at you. Some real things that God has left for us to see is Noah's Ark in MT. Ararat, Bible Codes, & Jesus Christ. If you want more evidence check this video out on youtube " Creation and Miracles, Past and Present (full length) "
@MrGRISAD "I exist, therefore God exists" is stupid.
The Ark in mt. Ararat? Haha, nonsense. I know what ark you're referring to, and all it is, is a shaky amateur video of some old wood, claiming it's the ark. They didn't take photos, or areal scans, or publish their findings in an archaeology journal. it's just some Christians with a camera and some old wood.
"Bible codes" are nonsese.
"Jesus Christ" isn't evidence. saying that is like saying Saruman is evidence for Lord of the Rings.
@Vehementi Big whoop if its not in the archaeology journal, u asked for evidence and what better evidence than anchor stones, wood and other misc. from the Ark itself. Now how are bible codes nonsense, it has predicted the twin tower crash, the iraq war before it even happened, same thing with past events. I don't know any analogy of Saruman in Lord of the Ring, but do u know who wrote the Lord of the Rings, a person that believes in God. Even though Christ was a real person & in history.
@MrGRISAD Ok, firstly, show me this Ark. Because al I've heared of it, and seen of it, is a shaky home video of a load of old wood. If it was genuine, then it would've been investigated properly. If it wasn't a load of bull, then it WOULD be in a scientific journal, it'd be unavoidable.
If it predicted the twin tower crash, then why the feck wasn't it used to PREVENT the tower crash? Seriously, if it explained it so clearly, then why wasn't it used to stop it?
@MrGRISAD The official Roman documents have been found naming the two people that were crucified alongside Jesus, according to the bible, yet guess whose name is not mentioned?
On top of that, guess whose name is not mentioned anywhere in any ancient Roman documents?
I am going to argue that the Quran is wrong. The Torah also mentions a lot of what the First Testament mentions. You know what? Look up Osiris and Horus in Ancient Egyptian beliefs. Jesus/God is basically a rip off of those two.
@MrGRISAD You know what else predicted the future? Star Wars. The technology, although in its infant stages, exists to be able to replace lost limbs with mechanical ones, hooking them up to the brain. That doesn't mean Luke Skywalker existed.
As for the bacterial flagellum, I know what you're getting at. So, I'm going to direct you towards this video. The flagellum is NOT irriducibly complex.
@MrGRISAD Basically, the flagellum being irriducibly complex relies on the precursors to the flagellum serving the EXACT same function. That's not what evolution tels us. The flagellum can be broken apart into several different "pieces" that all serve different functions to what the flagellum serves - a propellar.
Miller explains bit better than I can. Just watch.
@Vehementi -- I believe that God is the precise opposite of depression. He raises us to a state higher than we would without faith. In the eyes of an atheist, once your life ends, it's all over. THAT is more depressing to me, than my faith should be to you. Because that means everything that an atheist does, every mark you make on the world is one day going to be rendered useless--it will be like you never were.
That sounds far more upsetting to me than living on forever in glory.
@Lndmk227 I don't care if one day it's "as if I never were", because I won't be alive.
I'm not going to waste this life preparing for an afterlife that doesn't exist, instead I'm living this life how I want, I'm going to appreciate every second I'm alive because I know that it's the only life I have.
Living for all eternity? THAT would be depressing. Not only would that completely devalue this life, but eternity is a very, very long time. It would seem like a prison, you'd be trapped
@Vehementi Basically, nothing lasts forever, and instead of being afraid of that, and believing fairy tales to comfort you, accept it and make the most of the life that you know you definately have.
Why worry about what state the world, or the universe, will be in, in say... 3 million years time? (You might say it's a long time, but you're comparing it to infinite amoutns of time, and in the grand scheme of how old the universe is, 3 million years is nothing.).
@Vehementi -- To be fair though, you have no idea whether or not if "doesn't exist". You ASSUME it doesn't, because you live your life based around things you can see or prove on a daily basis. Faith requires more dedication than that.
Besides, it's not like I don't value my life here. I use every opportunity I can to make the world a better place for others, not just myself. I do good things, and in doing so, hopefully, do God's work, and please Him enough to join him one day.
@Lndmk227 I have absolutely no logical or rational reason to believe he exists, but there's sure as smeg a whole mountain of doubt.
Faith requires dedication because you have to work at believing in things that lack empirical evidence. Faith is not a good thing, faith is gullibility masquerading as a virtue.
Blind belief in something without any evidence to support it is simply stupidity.
@Vehementi -- Faith also brings me comfort. And if it brings you none, then so be it. I won't preach to you--but I also know that faith is responsible for a lot of good things in the world today. You're generalizing that faith is bad, when it is only the actions of people that excuse their bad deeds in the name of it that can make it seem that way.
I understand that you need more than faith though, and that's fine. You shouldn't be condemned for that. Many can't simply believe. (P.1)
@Lndmk227 I'm pretty sure if you looked at the ratio of good to bad things done in the name of faith you'd see that the bad things done far, far outweigh the good.
You say "when it is only the actions of people that excuse their bad deeds in the name of it that can make it seem that way", but couldn't the same be said about good deeds?
Just as you can say "Would people still do these bad things without faith?", you can ask "would these people do good things if they had no faith?
@Vehementi -- The thing that makes me question "simple chance", though--why do so many strive to do good things? Naturally, it would be in your best interests to hoard and keep everything you acquire for yourselves, but so constantly we give we do not need so that others do not have to go without. We're the only species that would knowingly run into danger to save another person. Where does that come from? Surely that's not a programming of evolution, but something more. (P.2)
@Lndmk227 Altruism comes from us having to live together as a species to survive - safety in numbers and all that.
We're the only species that would knowingly run into danger to save another? What about soldier ants dying to protect the queen?
The queen is the one that reproduces, and although the soldier ants may be killed, the queen ant's genetic code is near eanoth to the soldier ant's genetic code that it makes it a worthy sacrifice co continue the species.
@Vehementi near enough* We protect eachother because we evolved needing eachother to survive. If we evolved as individuals, we wouldn't stand a chance, but instead we formed societies, and strong social bonds, to help keep us together and to help eachother survive.
Part of that is basically just looking out for eachother.
@Vehementi -- Furthermore, returning to the existence of God or not, science states that everything physical in the universe has an origin or must come from something. But science will never be able to tell you where the Big Bang came from, or how something was created from nothing.
Eventually, you get to the point where you have to realize: "There had to have been an origin without an origin itself." That origin had to be immensely-powerful, and logical to create what It did. (P.2)
@Vehementi -- I've heard of this guy and his work, but ultimately everything just keeps on coming back to one conclusion: There had to be something first, not bound by the concepts of "time" or "limits". It created the universe logically, wrote the natural laws as necessary, and understood them. It had to be intelligent, and it had to be unconstrained by anything this universe would say is impossible.
Conclusion? The Almighty God. A boundless deity that sets all the rules.
@Vehementi -- No, I understand the guy's concept, but the fact just remains to me, that the scientists say that the Universe is X billion years old. Well ... that's not very all-existing, is it? The scientists have written themselves into a corner, and eventually, I think they'll realize it.
@Lndmk227 The big bang is just the beginning of the universe as we know it.
As Sagan was saying, why say that there had to be an infinite creator, why not skip a step and say that the universe is infinite?
The universe is expanding at the moment, but what's to say that it won't start contracting again? What's to say it won't compress itself into a singularity again in the future, and then follow up with another big bang, and has been repeating itself over and over for all eternity?
@Vehementi -- But you're still ignoring the question of what started it all? Something cannot have always existed. What caused the matter to form from nothing and start this infinite expanse/collapse? When did it start? Physically, science would be breaking its own laws. Everything that exists, has to have an origin, including the universe itself. Big Bang came before that? What started the Big Bang? And before that?
I understand where you're coming from, but it's not enough for me.
@Vehementi -- But see, to fulfill your explanation, God would have to exist BEYOND existence and not be bound by our concepts of "infinite". Does He exist in a realm all of his own (Heaven?) where time has no meaning? Where power a foreign concept, and He is all-encompassing?
I would love to continue this discussion, but I have Magic tonight. Feel free to PM me! ^^
@Lndmk227 The big bang is not necceserily the origin of the universe's existence. Just the beginning of the way we experience the universe as it is now.
This cycle is called the big crunh hypothesis, and is far more reasonable, and far more plausible than the existence of a creator.
Even so, say you're right, and there is a need for a creator, why is that creator the Abrahamic God, and not any one of the deities in the millions of creation myths around the world?
@Vehementi -- Me? Personally? I believe that ALL of the creation myths center around God Himself, but certain people over time understood their teachings differently. (Different languages, Man's way of writing his own comprehension, etc.) There are any numbers of reasons for why there are so many different myths, but I look at it from the point of view that they all came from one origin.
@Vehementi -- I don't necessarily believe either, that religion is the way to earn this deity's favor, so much as living a good life, being selfless and kind to others, and being a righteous individual.
Perhaps when we die, we can ask this deity--at least according to what I believe. If I find a way to talk to you from the Great Beyond, I'll try to find you and let you know! =D
@Lndmk227 I agree, and what guy wants to constantly be reminded of his own existance? I like how the founding fathers of the USA viewed him. They said he created the universe, created evolution to make life, created all and made man, but after making man, he became an observer, watching how the first being with free will affects the earth, without interfering and letting Nature go on. God doesnt take sides or answer prayers, he just protects the balance of life.
@Vehementi -- And yet why give when others could so easily? There's more to charity than that. You forget that we used to live in tribes, not nations.
And besides, the queen of an ant colony is required for the colony to survive, period. Why would someone run into a burning building to save a child or a fireman? Society would live on without them.
I'm sorry, but genetic coding just doesn't do it for me. There are too many holes in the theory, and none can be proven 100%. (P.1)
@Lndmk227 Living in tribes is where this behaviour came from...
If you hoard all the food, and give nothing to the others in your tribe and they starve to death, then you're left alone. No, you want to keep the rest of your tribe as healthy and strong as you can, because their survival is closely tied to your own survival. They'll help hunt, help prepare food, help forage, everything, which is more food for everyone else in the tribe.
@Vehementi Well, not really where it came from, it came from a species long, long before we existed. Just to put it into context, look at chimpanzees, or gorillas, they'll share food with eachother, instead of hoarding it all for themselves.
@Vehementi -- Even so, in today's society, no one would miss X many poor or people that couldn't provide for themselves. When a member of the pack of wolves grows too weak to contribute to the whole, they don't provide for that pack member. They either force it out, and it starves, or they kill it. Humans don't do this. We care for the sick and the wounded and bring them back to health. We help those who call for it, and we'll risk our own lives doing it. It's not logical.
@Vehementi Religion should be used for spiritual relief, which there is nothing wrong with. that is why i favor Jews over Christians who piss me off a lot. Religon is like...a penis. It is good to have one and you can be proud of it, but NEVER take it out in public, talk about it in public, and most of all, do NOT shove it down our children's throats.
@Vehementi but i dont think FORCING a child to follow it is right. I think it is our choices that determine who we are. Thats why i like Jews, who let the child decide. They just simply show them the religion and let the child determine if they wish to follow while most Christians try to shove it down their throats, yelling at them when do as much as question it and read about evolution (Which may be God's blueprint for making life). And Moses is badass compared to wimpy Jesus XD
@croc560 Of course it isn't right, but it's how most religions propagate themselves.
Doen't have to be punishing them for daring to read On the Origin of Species, simply raising a kid as a religion, teaching them that it's all true (Kids are incredibly impressionable, especially by their parents.), is pretty much shoving it down their throats. It's not easy to reject something that you've been brought up as a kid to believe is the truth.
@Vehementi Daring to read it? I find it to be bravery and intelligent to open ur mind to truth supported by facts and evidence. Not really, despite my parents being Atheists like myself, i was sent to a Christian preschool (It was the only one near our home that was available) and all i was taught was Jesus this and that and barely even learned my ABC's and my father had two Christian parents. Both of us grew up and with our open minds, pulled free of that corruption.
@Vehementi Satanic? Darwin was a Christian man who claimed he was trying to find God's blueprint for making life, despite his friends claiming he was "Killing god". I dont find Darwin didnt really try to "kill" god until his daughter died. He felt betrayed and then wanted to avenge her death by publishing it. but he realized he was going mad and gave the book to his Christian wife, telling her to "make the choice." So the one to be blamed for its existence is his wife, a Christian
@croc560 -- It's not very respectful to call Jesus "wimpy". Even if you don't take Him as your Savior, He still lived an admirable life, and is worthy of recognition. He loved unconditionally, He was charitable, He was loyal, He was humble, He was a model for what we should strive to be. Even if you don't hold him in as high regard as Christians do, His life was noteworthy and honorable. Everyday I strive to be a bit more like Him and make the world better for those around me.
@Lndmk227 His cult-like behavior would annoy anyone. Wanna be a bit more like him, then claim to be the son of god in the Middle East and get ur ass nailed to a bloody cross and die. Also, Jesus wasn't white, he was Middle Eastern. Religion is like a penis, its okay to have one and you should be proud of it. However, dont EVER talk about it public, show it in public, and dont shove it down our children's throats. U Christians still blame Jews for his death, even though Jesus was a Jew
@croc560 -- That's rather presumptuous of you. Just because I'm Christian doesn't mean I aspire to the dregs of CONSERVATIVE Christianity. I'm a liberal Christian. I believe that Jesus' death was fated to be by God Himself. Whether He was the Son of God is a moot point--we're ALL the Sons of God, being that we were created in His image. I simply take His gesture of dying on the Cross to absolve us as a testament of His good will. (And you don't need to keep repeating the penis thing.)
@Lndmk227 My father who loved my mother is my one and ONLY father, i am no son of anyone else. I love the penis analogy since it is so true. And after seeing Gibson's Passion of the Christ, I cant really see the message of his death, other than it was fucked up.
@croc560 -- I wouldn't take the Passion of the Christ as Gospel.... Gibson is a very questionable man. His comments on the Jewish people alone means he should be taken with a grain of salt.
Conservatives seem to have a sense of self-righteousness with their faith, and that their so-called duty is to try and "save" as many people as they can. The problem is, not everyone is comfortable living a Christian life.
Everyone has to find their own path. It cannot be forced upon them.
@Lndmk227 no ? needed. He is a Nazi-loving Jew Hating prick with a love of blood and a denier of the Holocaust and Passion is the most racist film ever against Jews. The Conservatives would use FORCE, making Abortions illegal, making Evolution a fiction book and the Bible a non-fiction, etc. FUX News brainwashes people. Pray for God to knock some sense into them plz
@croc560 -- Furthermore, technically the Jews DID have Jesus crucified. But am I bitter to them? No. They are my fellow believers in the Almighty God, and that's all that matters. Just like with the Muslims. They are my brethren for their faith in God, and their dedication to His Word.
Bitterness is a vice upon humanity, and only love, blind and freely given, will release us from the trials we face these days. There is so much hate in the world, and it's very tragic.
@Lndmk227 Wish the conservative barbarians were like that. Humans are doomed to feel hate. to love is to hate as well. I love my family and i would hate anyone who would dare harm them, even my dog is family to me. People now use the belief of God as an excuse to do as they please. And if there is a God, then tell him i am using every bit of free will to not bow to him, for i bow to nobody and swear my loyalty to my family and friends ONLY
@croc560 Whether you bow to God, love God or not He will still love you because that is God's way. He will love you even as you curse His name, God will wait patiently for you even if you deny Him with your every breath and God will reach for you even as you walk away. Why? Because "I am that I am," says the Lord.
@croc560 Hell?? This is what I will say on that matter: whether we be for God or against Him, God created all for Himself and He shall keep all unto Himself.
@croc560 I do not believe that there is such a place. Because the Christ that I know would not and could not send any being there. He would not because such is love and He could not because there can be no separation from God. He is all in all, there is no place that is devoid of God; just as He loves all, He is with all.
@croc560 No they are not having fun at all, they are in eternal pain. They are paying for their sins, thats where Jesus Christ comes, he died in our place so we wont go to hell, but live forever in heaven, if you believe in Him
@MrGRISAD died in my place? How? I wasnt even born yet, and he died for calling himself the son of god in public which pissed the Romans off. And why do i have to believe in him? If he is all forgiving, wont he not mind me not believing in him? So if a man lived a good life, saved innocent lives, and was a good person and he died, would he go to hell just for not believing in Christ and being Atheist? This is y i like Jews, they dont include Christ.
@croc560 When Christ died for our sins it was a perfect sacrifice for past, present, and future sins. The righteous dead such as Moses waited in the Bosom of Abraham for the Messiah. Jesus died willingly and because he was sinless hell and death could not him... and so, Jesus rose on the third day. The reason you must be saved is because the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. All men have sinned and fallen short of God.
@Fathomus I think he died because he was brutally beaten and nailed to a cross under the deadly sun. Jesus was born into this world, just like other humans. He was a human and died because he went against the law of the Roman Empire. He called himself a Messiah, was a leader of an apocalyptic movement, and technically didnt fulfill the Messianic prophecies in the Tanakh. I'm on the Jew's side. I dont think Jesus was any different from a normal human. Also he wasnt a virgin birth
@croc560 If you believe in him you shall not perish, but have everlasting life in heaven through Jesus Christ. If you are not saved you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. As I said before the righteous dead could not enter heaven, but stayed in the Bosom of Abraham until the perfect sacrifice of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. When Christ died he went to hell, but hell and death could not hold him. So the righteous dead became saved through Jesus and are now and forever will be in heaven.
@croc560 Dodging the question I see... If you become truly saved you will have all the "proof" you will ever need. How about historical records outside of the bible documenting the earthquake after Jesus died on the cross? The hundreds of witnesses of Christ's resurrection when he went to his disciples. I suppose normally when a person dies they stay dead... Although, that is what makes the resurrection of Jesus special.
@croc560 So I'm guessing you believe in the Big Bang Theory and just so you know even that requires faith. Oh by the way, it is a theory and has not been proven. The earthquake immediately after his death, the veil of the temple torn from top to bottom, the dead rising, the sky darkened, and the centurion in command who witnessed these events said, "Truly this man was the Son of God!"
@Fathomus i dont believe in theories. The Big Bang is just the most acceptable theory, but it is still a theory. I follow it, but i dont put faith in it. I thought all of us were sons of god. Coincidences can be scary.

To me, this is most certainly the most beautifully depicted scenes in all of animated history. When God raised his voice towards Moses, he showed power and authority, but immediately afterwards, there was the love of a father in his voice, a gentleness incomparable.

In medieval times arguing about God instead of witnessing caused the crusades, today in 2011 it causes world wide youtube fights... For those of us who are Christians do not argue with hatred, if you wish to witness use the kindness of God instead of using the Devil's way of fighting and hating...crap.

croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 Soo good man! I respect that you don't believe. But that's not going to make me say Jesus isn't Lord. --Hear me out on this, see, please don't take offense at us Christians. We're obligated to proclaim Christ as Lord, not just as simply another religion, not another choice out of many, but that it doesn't matter if you believe in God or not, He's the only Lord.-- Thats all, man. We just love you guys and beg and plead with tears, turn to Jesus! Please! Repent and believe the Bible!
dzpisx 3 months ago
@dzpisx I like the Jewish religion more than the Christian's, mostly because their films dont make me gag like Gibson's Passion of the Christ. If there was a message in that film, all i got was "Gibson is fucked up." Obligated? Who's making you? Dont you have free will? Sorry, but i dont worship dead people. Also I dont believe that Jesus was a son of God, cuz he was a human and all men are created equal so he is no better than anyone. He was a Jewish man that got himself killed, thats it.
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 Well I am a Sola Scriptura Christian, meaning Bible only, and it says we must proclaim with our mouth Jesus is Lord.
Jesus is dead? Is that what you are saying?
Jesus was born of a virgin supernaturally. Christianity, the gospel of 200%'s. He was 100% man and 100% God. He called Himself the son of God and if we believe that and listen to Him, we'll be saved from condemnation! Welcome to the happy gospel!
dzpisx 3 months ago
@dzpisx So you obey a book written by an unknown author? Mary had a man named Joseph, for all we know the two got drunk and forgot or she just lied to get attention since she lived in poverty. Saved from what? I wasn't even born yet and my ancestors originated from Spain, not the middle east, and you portray Jesus as Caucasian, when in reality he would've looked like someone from the middle east. A virgin birth is impossible for a human, with animals being the only ones to have one and its rare
croc560 3 months ago
@dzpisx No mortal can be a God. He spoke out and gathered people in a cult-like behavior which would annoy anyone and was killed. He was a man who died a painful death, nothing more. This film makes me believe more in Moses and less in Jesus. I was given free will, so i choose not to bow to anyone. I exist because of the love of my parents and swear loyalty to nobody but my friends and family and will serve no being out of fear that never shows his face to me. I am free.

Please help me to understand.
GodVlogger 3 months ago
@GodVlogger God forbid anyone to make an image of Him, and has never revealed His face. No one know why He chooses to hide Himself from us, but He does.
He revealed Himself as a few different images, and the burning bush is one of them.
It was symbolic. Notice the fire did not burn the bush. Like the fire, God is described as a "consuming fire", powerful and can be wrathful, but He loves us and chooses not to "burn" us if we love and obey Him.
dzpisx 3 months ago
@dzpisx But why does Yahweh dress up as a bush and show himself by lighting himself on fire?
Is it to scare us about the Hell that He has created for the majority of humans to suffer in for eternity?
GodVlogger 3 months ago
@GodVlogger Like I said, it was symbolic. And the only thing it could've meant was something about who He is. He's not hell, so that's not why He appeared as fire. But He is powerful and consuming like fire.
And I think you've got the idea of Hell kinda wrong man, The [whole] Bible says the wicked sinners go there because they chose not to trust in God and they'd rather do what they want instead. It's like we either say, Your will be done, or we do it our way, God says to us, your will be done.
dzpisx 3 months ago
@GodVlogger The aspect of the image and likeness is not that God looks like a human. We bear His traits. We are very different from all other species on this planet. Unfortunately, sin corrupts everything and the image is marred. So, when we get angry, it is often out of pride rather than righteousness. We confuse love with lust and even ownership. We do not reflect God's character. Christ in His humanity bore the perfect image. God tells Moses why he can't see His face in Ex 33:20.
plntlgst 2 weeks ago
Before the fall, humans and God walked with each other. After sin entered, a fallen man could not be in the presence of God. Isaiah cries out, "Woe is me, for I am undone!" John, one of Jesus' most beloved disciples, collapses before the full glory of Christ in the opening chapter of Revelation. Man's response to the presence of God is the utter realization of what we are before Him and we shrink and cower until He says, "Do not be afraid." Such love and humility from the Almighty!

Vehementi 5 months ago
@said1975 seem like the bush... spontaneously ignited.
Of course, lacking any knowledge of this, he'd've thought it was supernatural, when, in fact, it can be simply explained with evidence, he would've attributed it to something else with no wevidence... a god of the gaps.
It's depressing that people still believe this nonsense when so much of it has been shown to be complete and utter bollocks.

@MrGRISAD You sound depressed, going on about how you hope there's something more than this, and something better then this world. Also, I don't find that it's reality, I find it's the ramblings of primitive, bronze age goat herders. Real things leave behind evidence, imaginary things don't.

MrGRISAD 5 months ago in playlist MrGRISAD's Favorited Videos
@MrGRISAD "I exist, therefore God exists" is stupid.
The Ark in mt. Ararat? Haha, nonsense. I know what ark you're referring to, and all it is, is a shaky amateur video of some old wood, claiming it's the ark. They didn't take photos, or areal scans, or publish their findings in an archaeology journal. it's just some Christians with a camera and some old wood.
"Bible codes" are nonsese.
"Jesus Christ" isn't evidence. saying that is like saying Saruman is evidence for Lord of the Rings.
Vehementi 5 months ago
@Vehementi Big whoop if its not in the archaeology journal, u asked for evidence and what better evidence than anchor stones, wood and other misc. from the Ark itself. Now how are bible codes nonsense, it has predicted the twin tower crash, the iraq war before it even happened, same thing with past events. I don't know any analogy of Saruman in Lord of the Ring, but do u know who wrote the Lord of the Rings, a person that believes in God. Even though Christ was a real person & in history.
MrGRISAD 5 months ago in playlist MrGRISAD's Favorited Videos
@MrGRISAD Ok, firstly, show me this Ark. Because al I've heared of it, and seen of it, is a shaky home video of a load of old wood. If it was genuine, then it would've been investigated properly. If it wasn't a load of bull, then it WOULD be in a scientific journal, it'd be unavoidable.
If it predicted the twin tower crash, then why the feck wasn't it used to PREVENT the tower crash? Seriously, if it explained it so clearly, then why wasn't it used to stop it?

@MrGRISAD The Lord of the Rings analogy was used to explain how just because a character exists in a book, doesn't mean he exists in real life.

@MrGRISAD Basically, the flagellum being irriducibly complex relies on the precursors to the flagellum serving the EXACT same function. That's not what evolution tels us.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 I don't care if one day it's "as if I never were", because I won't be alive.
I'm not going to waste this life preparing for an afterlife that doesn't exist, instead I'm living this life how I want, I'm going to appreciate every second I'm alive because I know that it's the only life I have.
Living for all eternity? THAT would be depressing. Not only would that completely devalue this life, but eternity is a very, very long time. It would seem like a prison, you'd be trapped
Vehementi 3 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@Vehementi Basically, nothing lasts forever, and instead of being afraid of that, and believing fairy tales to comfort you, accept it and make the most of the life that you know you definately have.
Why worry about what state the world, or the universe, will be in, in say... 3 million years time? (You might say it's a long time, but you're comparing it to infinite amoutns of time, and in the grand scheme of how old the universe is, 3 million years is nothing.).
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- To be fair though, you have no idea whether or not if "doesn't exist". You ASSUME it doesn't, because you live your life based around things you can see or prove on a daily basis. Faith requires more dedication than that.
Besides, it's not like I don't value my life here. I use every opportunity I can to make the world a better place for others, not just myself. I do good things, and in doing so, hopefully, do God's work, and please Him enough to join him one day.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 I have absolutely no logical or rational reason to believe he exists, but there's sure as smeg a whole mountain of doubt.
Faith requires dedication because you have to work at believing in things that lack empirical evidence. Faith is not a good thing, faith is gullibility masquerading as a virtue.
Blind belief in something without any evidence to support it is simply stupidity.
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- Faith also brings me comfort. And if it brings you none, then so be it. I won't preach to you--but I also know that faith is responsible for a lot of good things in the world today. You're generalizing that faith is bad, when it is only the actions of people that excuse their bad deeds in the name of it that can make it seem that way.
I understand that you need more than faith though, and that's fine. You shouldn't be condemned for that. Many can't simply believe. (P.1)
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 I'm pretty sure if you looked at the ratio of good to bad things done in the name of faith you'd see that the bad things done far, far outweigh the good.
You say "when it is only the actions of people that excuse their bad deeds in the name of it that can make it seem that way", but couldn't the same be said about good deeds?
Just as you can say "Would people still do these bad things without faith?", you can ask "would these people do good things if they had no faith?
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- The thing that makes me question "simple chance", though--why do so many strive to do good things? Naturally, it would be in your best interests to hoard and keep everything you acquire for yourselves, but so constantly we give we do not need so that others do not have to go without. We're the only species that would knowingly run into danger to save another person. Where does that come from? Surely that's not a programming of evolution, but something more. (P.2)
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 Altruism comes from us having to live together as a species to survive - safety in numbers and all that.
We're the only species that would knowingly run into danger to save another? What about soldier ants dying to protect the queen?
The queen is the one that reproduces, and although the soldier ants may be killed, the queen ant's genetic code is near eanoth to the soldier ant's genetic code that it makes it a worthy sacrifice co continue the species.
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi near enough* We protect eachother because we evolved needing eachother to survive. If we evolved as individuals, we wouldn't stand a chance, but instead we formed societies, and strong social bonds, to help keep us together and to help eachother survive.
Part of that is basically just looking out for eachother.
Vehementi 3 months ago

@Lndmk227 Um... you didn't actually watch that video, did you?
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- No, I understand the guy's concept, but the fact just remains to me, that the scientists say that the Universe is X billion years old. Well ... that's not very all-existing, is it? The scientists have written themselves into a corner, and eventually, I think they'll realize it.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 The big bang is just the beginning of the universe as we know it.
As Sagan was saying, why say that there had to be an infinite creator, why not skip a step and say that the universe is infinite?
The universe is expanding at the moment, but what's to say that it won't start contracting again? What's to say it won't compress itself into a singularity again in the future, and then follow up with another big bang, and has been repeating itself over and over for all eternity?
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- But you're still ignoring the question of what started it all? Something cannot have always existed. What caused the matter to form from nothing and start this infinite expanse/collapse? When did it start? Physically, science would be breaking its own laws. Everything that exists, has to have an origin, including the universe itself. Big Bang came before that? What started the Big Bang? And before that?
I understand where you're coming from, but it's not enough for me.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 "Something cannot always have existed", except God?
"Everything that exists has to have an origin", except God?
Why should your God be exempt from this, but not the universe itself?
What started it all? Did it even have a start or has it just always been in a neverending cycle of expansion and contraction?
We don't know. We're trying to find out.
We're not using a God of the gaps to fill in what we don't know.
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- But see, to fulfill your explanation, God would have to exist BEYOND existence and not be bound by our concepts of "infinite". Does He exist in a realm all of his own (Heaven?) where time has no meaning? Where power a foreign concept, and He is all-encompassing?
I would love to continue this discussion, but I have Magic tonight. Feel free to PM me! ^^
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 The big bang is not necceserily the origin of the universe's existence. Just the beginning of the way we experience the universe as it is now.
This cycle is called the big crunh hypothesis, and is far more reasonable, and far more plausible than the existence of a creator.
Even so, say you're right, and there is a need for a creator, why is that creator the Abrahamic God, and not any one of the deities in the millions of creation myths around the world?
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi big crunch hypothesis*
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- Me? Personally? I believe that ALL of the creation myths center around God Himself, but certain people over time understood their teachings differently. (Different languages, Man's way of writing his own comprehension, etc.) There are any numbers of reasons for why there are so many different myths, but I look at it from the point of view that they all came from one origin.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- I don't necessarily believe either, that religion is the way to earn this deity's favor, so much as living a good life, being selfless and kind to others, and being a righteous individual.
Perhaps when we die, we can ask this deity--at least according to what I believe. If I find a way to talk to you from the Great Beyond, I'll try to find you and let you know! =D
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 I agree, and what guy wants to constantly be reminded of his own existance? I like how the founding fathers of the USA viewed him. They said he created the universe, created evolution to make life, created all and made man, but after making man, he became an observer, watching how the first being with free will affects the earth, without interfering and letting Nature go on. God doesnt take sides or answer prayers, he just protects the balance of life.
croc560 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- And yet why give when others could so easily? There's more to charity than that. You forget that we used to live in tribes, not nations.
And besides, the queen of an ant colony is required for the colony to survive, period. Why would someone run into a burning building to save a child or a fireman? Society would live on without them.
I'm sorry, but genetic coding just doesn't do it for me. There are too many holes in the theory, and none can be proven 100%. (P.1)
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 Living in tribes is where this behaviour came from...
If you hoard all the food, and give nothing to the others in your tribe and they starve to death, then you're left alone. No, you want to keep the rest of your tribe as healthy and strong as you can, because their survival is closely tied to your own survival. They'll help hunt, help prepare food, help forage, everything, which is more food for everyone else in the tribe.
The tribes are just bigger, now.
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi Well, not really where it came from, it came from a species long, long before we existed. Just to put it into context, look at chimpanzees, or gorillas, they'll share food with eachother, instead of hoarding it all for themselves.
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi -- Even so, in today's society, no one would miss X many poor or people that couldn't provide for themselves. When a member of the pack of wolves grows too weak to contribute to the whole, they don't provide for that pack member. They either force it out, and it starves, or they kill it. Humans don't do this. We care for the sick and the wounded and bring them back to health. We help those who call for it, and we'll risk our own lives doing it. It's not logical.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Vehementi Religion should be used for spiritual relief, which there is nothing wrong with. that is why i favor Jews over Christians who piss me off a lot. Religon is like...a penis. It is good to have one and you can be proud of it, but NEVER take it out in public, talk about it in public, and most of all, do NOT shove it down our children's throats.
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 Religion thrives off of shoving it down children's throats, though.
Good analogy, made me laugh. >_<
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi but i dont think FORCING a child to follow it is right. I think it is our choices that determine who we are. Thats why i like Jews, who let the child decide. They just simply show them the religion and let the child determine if they wish to follow while most Christians try to shove it down their throats, yelling at them when do as much as question it and read about evolution (Which may be God's blueprint for making life). And Moses is badass compared to wimpy Jesus XD
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 Of course it isn't right, but it's how most religions propagate themselves.
Doen't have to be punishing them for daring to read On the Origin of Species, simply raising a kid as a religion, teaching them that it's all true (Kids are incredibly impressionable, especially by their parents.), is pretty much shoving it down their throats. It's not easy to reject something that you've been brought up as a kid to believe is the truth.
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi Daring to read it? I find it to be bravery and intelligent to open ur mind to truth supported by facts and evidence. Not really, despite my parents being Atheists like myself, i was sent to a Christian preschool (It was the only one near our home that was available) and all i was taught was Jesus this and that and barely even learned my ABC's and my father had two Christian parents. Both of us grew up and with our open minds, pulled free of that corruption.

@croc560 I know, OtOoS is an amazing piece of work, and revolutionised the entire field of biology, we even have Darwin on our £10 notes.
I was simply referring to how many Christians percieve the book as a Satanic Bible that must not be read, ever, on pain of going to Hell.
You're lucky, too many people fall into that trap and end up mentally damaged for life. >_<
Vehementi 3 months ago
@Vehementi Satanic? Darwin was a Christian man who claimed he was trying to find God's blueprint for making life, despite his friends claiming he was "Killing god". I dont find Darwin didnt really try to "kill" god until his daughter died. He felt betrayed and then wanted to avenge her death by publishing it. but he realized he was going mad and gave the book to his Christian wife, telling her to "make the choice." So the one to be blamed for its existence is his wife, a Christian
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 -- It's not very respectful to call Jesus "wimpy". Even if you don't take Him as your Savior, He still lived an admirable life, and is worthy of recognition. He loved unconditionally, He was charitable, He was loyal, He was humble, He was a model for what we should strive to be. Even if you don't hold him in as high regard as Christians do, His life was noteworthy and honorable. Everyday I strive to be a bit more like Him and make the world better for those around me.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 His cult-like behavior would annoy anyone. Wanna be a bit more like him, then claim to be the son of god in the Middle East and get ur ass nailed to a bloody cross and die. Also, Jesus wasn't white, he was Middle Eastern. Religion is like a penis, its okay to have one and you should be proud of it. However, dont EVER talk about it public, show it in public, and dont shove it down our children's throats. U Christians still blame Jews for his death, even though Jesus was a Jew
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 -- That's rather presumptuous of you. Just because I'm Christian doesn't mean I aspire to the dregs of CONSERVATIVE Christianity. I'm a liberal Christian. I believe that Jesus' death was fated to be by God Himself. Whether He was the Son of God is a moot point--we're ALL the Sons of God, being that we were created in His image. I simply take His gesture of dying on the Cross to absolve us as a testament of His good will. (And you don't need to keep repeating the penis thing.)
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 My father who loved my mother is my one and ONLY father, i am no son of anyone else. I love the penis analogy since it is so true. And after seeing Gibson's Passion of the Christ, I cant really see the message of his death, other than it was fucked up.
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 -- I wouldn't take the Passion of the Christ as Gospel.... Gibson is a very questionable man. His comments on the Jewish people alone means he should be taken with a grain of salt.
Conservatives seem to have a sense of self-righteousness with their faith, and that their so-called duty is to try and "save" as many people as they can. The problem is, not everyone is comfortable living a Christian life.
Everyone has to find their own path. It cannot be forced upon them.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 no ? needed. He is a Nazi-loving Jew Hating prick with a love of blood and a denier of the Holocaust and Passion is the most racist film ever against Jews. The Conservatives would use FORCE, making Abortions illegal, making Evolution a fiction book and the Bible a non-fiction, etc. FUX News brainwashes people. Pray for God to knock some sense into them plz

@croc560 -- Oh, believe me ... I do every day.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@croc560 -- Furthermore, technically the Jews DID have Jesus crucified. But am I bitter to them? No. They are my fellow believers in the Almighty God, and that's all that matters. Just like with the Muslims. They are my brethren for their faith in God, and their dedication to His Word.
Bitterness is a vice upon humanity, and only love, blind and freely given, will release us from the trials we face these days. There is so much hate in the world, and it's very tragic.
Lndmk227 3 months ago
@Lndmk227 Wish the conservative barbarians were like that. Humans are doomed to feel hate. to love is to hate as well. I love my family and i would hate anyone who would dare harm them, even my dog is family to me. People now use the belief of God as an excuse to do as they please. And if there is a God, then tell him i am using every bit of free will to not bow to him, for i bow to nobody and swear my loyalty to my family and friends ONLY
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 Whether you bow to God, love God or not He will still love you because that is God's way. He will love you even as you curse His name, God will wait patiently for you even if you deny Him with your every breath and God will reach for you even as you walk away. Why? Because "I am that I am," says the Lord.

@sellison08 So then who goes to hell? If he forgives all, is Hitler having a party with Stalin?
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 Hell?? This is what I will say on that matter: whether we be for God or against Him, God created all for Himself and He shall keep all unto Himself.
sellison08 3 months ago
@sellison08 so then who goes to hell?
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 I do not believe that there is such a place. Because the Christ that I know would not and could not send any being there. He would not because such is love and He could not because there can be no separation from God. He is all in all, there is no place that is devoid of God; just as He loves all, He is with all.
sellison08 3 months ago
@sellison08 so i guess Hitler, Stalin, and all the rapists and murderers are having a fun time after all.
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 No they are not having fun at all, they are in eternal pain. They are paying for their sins, thats where Jesus Christ comes, he died in our place so we wont go to hell, but live forever in heaven, if you believe in Him
MrGRISAD 3 months ago in playlist Favorite videos
@MrGRISAD died in my place? How? I wasnt even born yet, and he died for calling himself the son of god in public which pissed the Romans off. And why do i have to believe in him? If he is all forgiving, wont he not mind me not believing in him? So if a man lived a good life, saved innocent lives, and was a good person and he died, would he go to hell just for not believing in Christ and being Atheist? This is y i like Jews, they dont include Christ.
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 When Christ died for our sins it was a perfect sacrifice for past, present, and future sins. The righteous dead such as Moses waited in the Bosom of Abraham for the Messiah. Jesus died willingly and because he was sinless hell and death could not him... and so, Jesus rose on the third day. The reason you must be saved is because the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. All men have sinned and fallen short of God.
Fathomus 3 months ago
@Fathomus I think he died because he was brutally beaten and nailed to a cross under the deadly sun. Jesus was born into this world, just like other humans. He was a human and died because he went against the law of the Roman Empire. He called himself a Messiah, was a leader of an apocalyptic movement, and technically didnt fulfill the Messianic prophecies in the Tanakh. I'm on the Jew's side. I dont think Jesus was any different from a normal human. Also he wasnt a virgin birth
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 Jesus fulfilled every Messianic prophecy. Which prophecy do you feel was not fulfilled?
Fathomus 3 months ago
@croc560 If you believe in him you shall not perish, but have everlasting life in heaven through Jesus Christ. If you are not saved you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. As I said before the righteous dead could not enter heaven, but stayed in the Bosom of Abraham until the perfect sacrifice of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. When Christ died he went to hell, but hell and death could not hold him. So the righteous dead became saved through Jesus and are now and forever will be in heaven.
Fathomus 3 months ago
@Fathomus And where is the proof of all this? Have you seen him? How can we know, if those that die remain dead.
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 Dodging the question I see... If you become truly saved you will have all the "proof" you will ever need. How about historical records outside of the bible documenting the earthquake after Jesus died on the cross? The hundreds of witnesses of Christ's resurrection when he went to his disciples. I suppose normally when a person dies they stay dead... Although, that is what makes the resurrection of Jesus special.
Fathomus 3 months ago
@Fathomus And you believe that they tell the truth? Also an earthquake is not an abnormality, its a coincidence that it happened right after.
croc560 3 months ago
@croc560 So I'm guessing you believe in the Big Bang Theory and just so you know even that requires faith. Oh by the way, it is a theory and has not been proven. The earthquake immediately after his death, the veil of the temple torn from top to bottom, the dead rising, the sky darkened, and the centurion in command who witnessed these events said, "Truly this man was the Son of God!"
Fathomus 3 months ago
@Fathomus i dont believe in theories. The Big Bang is just the most acceptable theory, but it is still a theory. I follow it, but i dont put faith in it. I thought all of us were sons of god. Coincidences can be scary.
