  • hello sir/ma,i am a male nurse with three years of experience in almost all field of nursing from nigeria i will like to work as a travel nurse is there any way you can assist me?

  • Hi! Thank you for your question. We do assist Foreign Trained nurses. Please give our International Department a call at 888-909-5039. Good Luck

  • does travel nursing have an age limit? One of my goals is to travel.

  • Actually, sistajme, there is a law that prevents employers from discriminating against you for any job for which you are qualified and which you are mentally and physically capable of doing based on your age.

  • You are correct, thank you

  • Oh no, we have nurses fresh out of school at 22 years of age to more seasoned RN's traveling with their retired spouse. It is so versatile!

  • i am a 34 year old neophyte nursing student, and i was wondering how to become a trsavel nurse,i'd like to travel and live in different cities and work and learn.i would love feedback.

  • You've got to have at least one year's experience in a hospital before you can travel as a nurse. I was 38 when I took my first travel nursing job. I've done it a total of 4 times and absolutely loved it-- 3 times out of the 4.

  • thanks for info frieddaisy.

  • do u fly to these destinations or drive there? for me i really hope to just fly but im also concern for paying for rental cars.

  • I drove to all my assignments; but it's my understanding that many companies will pay part of your airfare, and some even offer a rented car. Do your homework. Contact many companies and compare packages.

  • Most of our nurses prefer to drive to each of their assignments except for Hawaii. Remember the cost of a rental affects your pay, so it will come out of your salary some way.

  • Thanks for your interest. Most facilities do require more than 1 year of experience to be considered as a traveler. The reason being is that the expect the traveler to come in and hit the floor running with little orientation.

  • I'm currently a nursing student and I recently disovered abt travel nurse, i love to travel very much but how can I learn more if I travel nursing is for me?

  • You've got to have a least one year's experience in a hospital before you can travel.
