hello sir/ma,i am a male nurse with three years of experience in almost all field of nursing from nigeria i will like to work as a travel nurse is there any way you can assist me?
Actually, sistajme, there is a law that prevents employers from discriminating against you for any job for which you are qualified and which you are mentally and physically capable of doing based on your age.
i am a 34 year old neophyte nursing student, and i was wondering how to become a trsavel nurse,i'd like to travel and live in different cities and work and learn.i would love feedback.
You've got to have at least one year's experience in a hospital before you can travel as a nurse. I was 38 when I took my first travel nursing job. I've done it a total of 4 times and absolutely loved it-- 3 times out of the 4.
I drove to all my assignments; but it's my understanding that many companies will pay part of your airfare, and some even offer a rented car. Do your homework. Contact many companies and compare packages.
Most of our nurses prefer to drive to each of their assignments except for Hawaii. Remember the cost of a rental affects your pay, so it will come out of your salary some way.
Thanks for your interest. Most facilities do require more than 1 year of experience to be considered as a traveler. The reason being is that the expect the traveler to come in and hit the floor running with little orientation.
I'm currently a nursing student and I recently disovered abt travel nurse, i love to travel very much but how can I learn more if I travel nursing is for me?
How often do you come across LPN/LVN assignments?
