I dont think these paper investments are a good place to invest right now. The returns are so small that they barely keep up with inflation. Glad I have invested in prescious metals for last 4 years and wil continue to hold them until I sense the market has come back from its insanity.

No body can time the market ? if you mean no body can predict the market, then it is true. But what about all the traders who are making a consistent living trading the market ? There are techniques available, but prediction is not one of them. It can be done, except that Gordon Pape couldn't do it.
