  • really glad they have the first and they remade it. both of them are awesome.

  • Check out Dante'

    MYKYM RECORD

  • I'm so glad they produced this remake. I like the mix of old and new artists coming together for a very needy cause.

  • @BriseAmytal Please learn how to form correct sentences before you criticize anything.

  • It is meaningfull

  • this song is the F****** Best

  • i think,,,sir paul mccartney is only the greatest music artist who walk on earth and no one will ever be,,,,,,

  • LIONEL RICHIE IS DO DAMN FINE...FOR A MAN OF 60 YEARS! DAMNNN I WOULD GIVE IT 2 HIM ANY DAY!

  • THIS IS SO BIAUTIFUL!! This is it!!

  • these guys suckkkkkkkkk

  • Celine rules! RIP MJ. Godbless all those souls in Haiti.

  • What no MJ is great

  • god this is gay!!!!!!!

  • Nothing is more emblematic of the PATHETIC state of the music scene today than this shitty remake of what was a beautiful song. The 80s version is fantastic, but the marketing-driven, talentless group of "singers" who participated in this remake corrupted it into a mockery of the 80s version. Is this version supposed to be a joke??? If so, it's not funny, just sad.

  • @stillwaterguy04 Shut up. Get over it. It's not about the song. It's about the message. It's still the same message so quit your bitching.

  • @m3liss4l0ve, this remake suits you - it's shit.

  • @m3liss4l0ve thats the point.. i love that phrase " it's not about the song. it's about the message" put it on your Head lil kid..

  • @m3liss4l0ve i love you. i think that same thing!

  • STRANGE

-Please search the net and look for Haarp technology.

-A few hours after the quake russian fleet accuses US of artificially creating the earthquake with Haarp technology.

-A day befor the quake British fleet is told to leave the area by US military.

-Please note the strategic location of Haiti in relation with Cuba and Venezuela.

-Haiti needed DOCTORS, not thousands of ARMED SOLDIERS. This is an occupation

-Search for the irregular caracteristics of this quake.

    MAKE YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS

  • @ActionElly I agree with you, yes it is a good thing...but I think some of them do just want their image to be on this....but like the rapper people...what was that!? (no offense) and yeah I guess he would..because he liked to help out people and give back..but other than that...I don't know..?:/

  • flaga Polski :> XD

  • yeahh

    quincy jones :P

    basquetball jones

    :P

    xd

  • c'mon guys your missing the whole point why they gathered and revived that song.

  • i kow people just dont get it

  • For all those suckers saying about auto-tune, or voice correction:

It's called vocoder and many current (and former) stars use it as an instrument, nowdays.

It's like an effect (as reverb or delay). It's just way of production.

Real corrections are done with so powerful computers (pro-tools etc) that no-one can notice!!!!

    You hear me? NOONE!!!

  • This is it, too!

  • Autotune takes skill, if you dont have a autotunable voice then you would sound bad on autotune lol.

  • lol , autotune takes skill.......

  • Lol, make a track with your autotune voice. Upload it on Youtube, and see if people like it. Then you'll know if its skillfull.

  • I'm Glad this People Followed the footsteps of great singers in the past 25 years not like dumbasses like Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus

  • quincy breathing heavy .. man getting ol'd :(

  • Celin dion here as no voice!

But in the realy song, it's awsom

    !

  • Where is me ?

  • just relax!!:]

  • all this was bullshit. all those artists each could have afforded to donate $1 million and could have singlehandedly helped out haiti. but no they want people who dont have money to spare to donate to help a country with a corrupt government. fuck it

  • @HungryforJesus33 yes, because we all know $100 million single-handedly can clear out everything in Haiti, thanks for the heads up

  • @aznravenflame fuck off. you get the point. dont focus on one word douche

  • Im sure plenty of them give to charities and many of them even have foundations of their own helping less fortunate in any ways, they are reaching out to billions of people around the world, if they manage to get everyone to just donate $1, it'd be much more helpful, "people who don't have money to spare" I'm sure most of the 1st world nation can still afford luxury like movies or eating out, skip either one and $10 going to haiti, multiply it by the number of people in JUST U.S.A ...

  • I can see that, well, no one is asking you specifically to donate or help out anyone less fortunte, just don't get your jollies by coming here and spreading bullshit and hate.

  • get over it wyclef jean, fucking long winded and its getting stuffy in there....

WHERE'S NELLY?!?!? it's getting hot in here so take off all your clothes....

  • where is lady gaga

  • i love this version but i stick to old vars artist..

  • I think lady gaga is not good at all.

  • Good cause but get rid of every person that was using auto tuner. Seriously that needs to be eliminated from music today anyway. Sorry but if you can't sing with your voice alone even for something like this then you have no business in the music business. Oh and Rapping? really? Disappointing version to say the least. Hopefully the response to the disaster will will benefit regardless. This over produced and shallow talent pool version is not even worthy of comparison to the original.

  • Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna were like the biggest acts in the past 2 years. Wonder why they weren't here?

  • @BAM5636 instead of acting like a critic and showing your dislike for rap, understand the meaning behind what they were saying and lend a helping hand.

  • @BAM5636 and also, why is anyone comparing thing to the original? Is the situation is Haiti not bad enough a distraction w/ the pleas for help?

  • I dont think the rapping part was bad or anything but I agree they shouldve left all the autotune out. The original version showed raw talent and so did this video - except for the autotuned parts.

  • People got to realize that music now is different that it was 20-25 yrs ago. I think they put a good effort to it but it isnt better than the original. I know Wyclef was trying to support his country, but he ruined the song!

  • MJ is the greatest music artist that ever walk the earth. We love MJ very much.

  • @jorgecornet Wow you're dumb.

  • This is a joke. I'm glad they kept MJ, but he wasn't really there. They just cut his part from the original which makes this even more unoriginal than it already is. Though I'm sure MJ wouldn't mind. All he would say is, "It's all for love." :)

  • your an idiot to make such comments about MJ!!!!

  • MJ never played a musical instrument or composed a single song by himself!

  • to recycle I agree with you should make a new song. But at least they are willing to help. we here in Brazil sent 15 thousand U.S. dollars and some singers of our country are doing clips and the money raised is being sent to Haiti

  • oh gawd what the heck Jonas Bros??? seriously?

  • Ye who is Micheal Jackson?

  • Who is Michal Jackson

  • WHAT! you don't know who MJ is are you serious. Have you ever heard of the moonwalk, thiller. Michael Jackson is the KING OF POP. search his name you'll find tons of stuff. His music is awesome.

  • sry a friend wrote this with my account

  • Please watch my video.

It's about climate change, earth catastrophe and our planet as we lives in.

Recent Earth catastrophes, it's about Earth Changes - Continental Drift: One huge continent became 2 continents,

then 5 (or 6) and then?

  • the we are the world remake SUX BALLS!

  • WTF?! This song is so BEAUTIFUL and now it's all messed up BIG TIME because of all those unnecessary things they added (like that guy who made it sound so reggae..i mean who the hell is he anyway???). This WAS a beautiful song but now it's just RUINED..

  • That guy is Wyclef Jean, a recording artist who is Haitian. Call me stupid, but that seems appropriate.

  • oh i see.. i guess it's not bad after all...i take it back..

  • michael jackson is the guy who changed music history

  • are you xur?what about john lennon?sir elton john?elvis presley?

  • they all changed music history

  • that is Wyclef Jean.He was in a group with lauren hill called the fugees. He's Haitian. It makes sense to me to use him.

  • oh..thanks for the info.. i guess it's alright to use him then..i take it back

  • @agnes0226 you idiot the guy who made it sound reggae? that's wyclef, a Haitian native who has been fighting and speaking on behalf of Haiti for over a decade, a world renowned artists. Yall ignorant adults or sheltered kids need to expand your cultures a little bit more. This version fit the cause. perfectly. yall that don't like it, kick rocks and live in your perfect world. make me sick!

  • @DisKreet1: you're the idiot one...don't you know how to read???? did'nt i say that "I TAKE IT BACK"...try reading my response again!

  • The song is done terrible... Oh wait that's cause there's literally like two talented singers involved everyone else is un talented hack...VOICE CORRECTION NEEDS TO GO AWAY. You Suck.. they are taking the spotlight away from real talent because their people have money... Payola in 2010.

  • hey look im dark, i dont have to work hard anymore. We got people feeling so bad for us we can get whatever we want.

  • @hihater190 lol, of course now the blacks are obviously more privil...oh wait...

  • SvRGlobal, look kid, I worked with him in the mid/late 80's as a studio musician and again in the early 90's. Jennifer Batten once told me that the man never played an instrument in his life and i never saw him play squat! Its easy to sit down at a piano and pretend to play when somebody takes a snap shot of you! I mean you aint moving! There is no footage of him actually "in motion" while playing! You were not there...... so you dont know! Zip it!

  • @RangRing68 is it your personal mission to bash MJ? he was and is a legend of our time, appreciate a man for who he is and was and stop tarnishing the souls of those that are passed and find something to fill that void in you rather than going around you tube bad talking a deceased artist. No one cares who you are or what you once did. Jealousy is an ugly trait as well sweetheart. and you don't wear it well.

  • MJ never played an instrument! That is the whole argument! It has nothing to do with his other talents! All these ignorant people make him out to be some kind of chocolate Beethhoven, when he is not! OK!

  • so when the tsunami hit back in 2004 killing almost 230,000 people, Lionel Richie could have recorded it then why wait till Haiti? Hmm

  • Its a nigga' thang!

  • Perhaps Michael Jackson's Death is one of the factors... LOL

  • thing that is funny is that the re-make made by the youtubers is way better than the re-make made by the multi-million dollar "professionals". funny how that works out.

  • SvRGlobal, You are wrong! MJ never played a musical instrument! Give me Audio and or video proof (which no one has) and you can talk! You and all these MJ fanatics believe he was some kind of god who could do it all and that is FALSE!! Believe me, I can tell if someone can play an instrument or not! His only instrument was his voice, and you cant write music with voice alone! He never composed music, just lyrics! He had a song writing team that he paid off to get songwriting credit!

  • this is a new version. wow! they're really reviving Michael's spirit especially his works! This one's good but the original's really the best! the most powerful! ILit!

  • d original version s like d rock version

wyl d new version is like d rnb and hip hop version

but d original version s d most powerful but i love dem both

    :)

  • Michael was a very, very good piano player!

    It was beautiful!

  • MissR1ght, Michael NEVER played piano or any other instrument for that matter! Stop spreading lies!

  • Of course he did. And he was really good!

But he never played in public.

    Believe it or not.

I know the truth and I never would tell a lie about Michael. Never.

But this is not important, because he was a good man, with a pure, wondeful heart and soul. And that´s why he´ll be always in my mind...

    God bless him...

  • MissR1ght, MJ never played a musical instrument! You are confusing Lionel Ritchie with MJ! You have no proof because there is no documented proof! His brothers played but MJ never played! I hate it when people make MJ out to be something more than what he was! You dont know what you are talking about.

  • He did. I saw it. But maybe my eyes are blind to take the truth.

If you don´t believe me, it´s okay. But you don´t have to be disrespectful.

    God bless you...

  • hey there, feeling bored, or looking for something special to keep you occupied, check out my channel, youll certainly enjoy it

  • hey duke morron. . . these people are big star also. . this is remake it means new faces. .the people you chose is just ur fuckin favorit bitch. . these people now are the best seller in present music industry. . the purpose is to tell many fans to donate to haiti. . ur stupid thats why. . if i see u personaly i would smack ur face bitch

  • If they wanted to do this right where are the big stars such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Whitney, Green Day, Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, Ozzy, McCartney and they could have bought back to do the song Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Huey Lewis, Cyndi Lauper & Kenny Rogers

  • @duke798 HASN'T IT OCCUR TO YOU THAT MAYBE YOUR BIG STAR WERE TOO BUSY FOR HAITI AND THOUGHT THE MONEY THEY GAVE WAS ENOUGH? JUST A THOUGHT AND PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF I AM OFFENDING YOU

  • Comment removed

  • the original one is a zillion thumbs up better than the new one

  • boang man diay mu tanan sigi ug lalis! lau ni sa marbeach mag pa sound na lan ta!!!!!!rock in lor!!!!!

  • Is WYCLEF JEAN from Haiti?

  • yes, he is :)

  • yup

  • Yes:)

  • OMFG, LMFAO, Wyclef sounded like a freakin dying penguin....

  • a see a bunch of has-beens cashing in on a fuckin' earth quake

  • a bunch of over paid little bitches

  • @sparky41684 Wow you are so pathetic. They are doing something to help people in need and what are you doing? Sitting in your trailer bitching on the laptop you stole from Walmart. Go do something good with your life and try to benefit society won't you... people like you make me sick!

  • get your head out of your ass. they are only doing this to sell more cd's . they do not care about haiti . dumb fucks like you make me sick!!!!!!

  • tru if they cared they woulda made a new song and not use africas

  • The thing is Sparky, despite any ulterior motive they may have, they lent their voices to a cause that needed them. What have you done? What gives you the right to sit there and criticize them just because you are jealous. Yes I said it, because you are jealous of them. Get over yourself.

  • Thank you :)

  • it does not matter if they sang it good or not, if the the intention is for haiti or fame, if it a cause or a public stunt.

be thankful that they made a way to reach us for our donations for haiti thru downloads. people complain about them not giving their personal earnings, but most of us haven't made a single dollar as contribution. honestly i havnt made a donation myself yet.

but haiti is in desperate need and the war for intelligence by criticizing will not help them at all.

  • Why is it that "We are the world" songs are always targeted towards blacks? Not white, not asian, american indian, latinos, arabs, persians, etc.?

This is such a publicity stunt and totally racist!!! It's like the Klu Klux Klan and their sympathizers got together and raised money for only white people...... but only it's blacks instead!

  • Don't feel that way. That's not how it is at all. We are the world is a song for everyone not just blacks. White entertainers contribute to it as well.

It's only been performed twice and both times it was to raise awarness about people in crisis. The song is a fund raiser to address issues that weren't being addressed like famine and now the terrible earth quake in Haiti. Tell me a crisis where Latinos & American Indians & Persians needed to raise billions & billions of dollars over night!?

  • only thing was...we were all well aware of haiti.... its all that was on the news for the past 3 days...

  • @Berlitz777

You must have a very selective and short memory. Here's just 2 in recent history: ....... The tsunami that killed 10's of thousands of people.... don't you remember that? The earthquake that killed 10's of thousands of Chinese! Both caused billions in damage! Hey... how about the 10's of thousands of Iraqis that died in the war! They are people too!

Now, where is "We are the world" for them?

  • I don't know. But it's not based on racism at all. Not at all.

  • its because black people cant take care of them selfs

  • racist much??

  • tipical, a white man says anything about blacks you scream racist

  • You spelled typical wrong.

  • sorry my bad...typical

  • Just being the grammar nazi I am.

  • all good thanks for being a grammer nazi

  • You also were supposed to write 'themselves' instead of them selfs....oh look, it's a black person who can take care of herself AND is always grammatically correct...STOP THE PRESSES!!!

  • look here we got an educated cotton picker

  • Im allergic to cotton, and I have so much money i'd buy your cotton field any day

  • ok, you sling drugs

  • No, that's not true at all, if i switched the races, it would still be kinda mean and racist :

"It's Because white people can't take care of themselves

  • This new We are the World Song is way too lame compared to the origal song.

  • very true, the rap was soo unnecessary.....

  • i dont believe for a second that these people give a shit about haiti or even know where it is, this is an obvious publicity stunt, if they really cared about haiti they would donate some of their $, about 10% of the income from each of these people could probably save a good trillion lives down their but no, making a song is so much more.....

  • Well, most of them have donated and the song has gained lots of money for Haiti. Also, there is not a trillion people.

  • suzukigsrxr100047 is gayyyy

  • FUCKI HAITI DONT DONATE!

  • to suzukigsxr100047 your so fucked up, come out to the dade or little haiti and say dat shit i wanna beat your ass!

  • FUCK HAITI DONT DONATE!

  • WHY?

  • how can u say that what if where u lived had a major natural disaster and millions of people died wouldnt u want all the help your country counld get

  • @SUZUKIGSXR100047 why fuck them please tell why because from what little u said ur a bastard and selfish

  • watch my videos

    jessedvargus

  • Would you people get off your negative asses and dig this for what it is? I'm no rap lover but I appreciate that these artists gave not only their money and time but their collective voices to pull us together. It's not about the auto tuning and the rap, it's about HAITI.

  • peacemonger, you obviously cant see the fake in their motives, these people are doing htis for publicity, if they gave one fuck about haiti they would give like a fifth of their annual earnings to them and fix the whole country. These are just a bunch of pretentious smug head up the ass pop artists who's record agents told them it would be a good idea to pretend they have a soul.

  • Man what a bunch of cry babies you guys are.

What kind of person feels a way that would make him think/say: 'FUCK HAITI?!" (I know that isnt you... but so many negative comments yours was just one that blends in with that kind of twisted thinking...) You're entitled to your opinion and can judge everyone if that brings you joy I suppose. Good luck with that attitude.

  • I think the motive was good to do a song for Haiti, but this version is a big fat turd. Auto-tuning should not be the representation of 2010 because that shows we have no talent these days and the rap....give me a break. It makes sense Jeff Bridges is in it. Wasn't Dan Akroyd in the first one?

  • listen to the one with the "turkey voice" so sad...so sad..this is a beautiful song with good meaning...The Rap..sucks...so so bad..

  • yah this version sucks

  • Seriously?!?! Epic Fail.

I can't even watch it entirely but Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus made the list. LMAO.

It's a sad remake. Thank God, the King of Pop wasn't here to see and hear this shit!!!!!

  • beautiful

  • jeff bridges? really?

  • this version sucks so bad....i mean...of all the people you could have called back to reprise their parts you had to get waynes half ass auto tuned bullshit....i mean seriously...why would you put "rap" parts on any part of this song? it kills it and the seriousness drops drastically. you got lionel and quincy producing this damn song...you'd think one of them could have dug deep in their black books of musicians and called one or two natural talents. this shit sucks.
