I always find it sad when I see young people depressed. Unfortunately I know only too well what it feels like. You had your 3 months, I'm still struggling after 3 years. I lost the love of my life as a result of my depression, & as much as my head tells me that there'll be a light at the end of the tunnel some day, my heart really just doesn't think it's possible. I'm very glad that you got through yours though.
I'm glad you found support to help lighten the load a bit. Depression hits lots of us for various reasons - family history, financial misfortune, health problems, even sometimes just our inherited biochemical makeup. I'm considerably older than you, and can also add that at least in a significant part of the world it's harder now to have optimistic expectations than it once was. It's important to find support and to cultivate a resilient spirit, which it happily sounds like you are doing.
Been there. Done that. I cut as a sixth grader, and was suicidal for years afterward. not the happiest child with multiple family issues among other complications like being a gay teenager growing up in this world. It really doesn't go away sometimes. I'm glad there's someone there who helped you. Without my best friend who was there for me through thick and thin, I would probably be dead right now. It really makes a huge difference.
@Hyshion Good to see you pulled through and had someone to support you :). If you feel as if no one will support you, just inbox me or something! and I'll try help :D
