Hah. I've been on a huge Elliott Smith kick over the past few days but I randomly downloaded and listened to #1 Record by Big Star today. Thirteen was my favorite track on it. My mind was blown when I heard this version on New Moon.

Restating - this is a Big Star song. And if you don't know who they are you need to figure it out because they were post-punk emo before punk existed and are just about the awesomest thing ever.

And to really blow your minds, kids, "Black Magic Woman" was written by Fleetwood Mac. I know, I know, it's all too much......

@zzmook quite trying to call songs by other than what they are, what the hell you mean by big star by being post-punk emo you know what lets just call anything that might display emotions as emo like johnny cash or muddy waters. and anyways punk has been around way before big star like in the 60s or earlier so you need a history lesson. labeling music with genres is about the worst thing there is to do to a song so quit insulting the artist you really have no clue what they were going for.
