NinyaChow is right, BlackRain. You just have to match the natural frequency of the glass (which depends on the individual glass itself) and, with enough volume and sustain, the glass will resonate enough to break.
Definitely not all glasses' natural frequency lies in the 7th octave.
its fake! the table has a slot for a hammer sling that strikes the glass and returns to its position. Its been done many times by cheats, so eat it and move on.
It's real. Voice CAN shatter glass. Anything in the 7th octave and higher can shatter glass. Though it's a useless gift and anything above the 6th octave sounds like a sharp whistle. No one can sing with that.
@BlackRainZero 7th octave notes will not shatter glass. It is a myth that high notes shatter glass. The reality is you have to match the resonance frequency of the glass, which is usually not very high unlike people think. The problem though is singing the right note and with enough volume. This video seems just about right
lol. the guy who play phantom of the opera these days is a comedian. In one of his interview he say" i would like to sing something i special prepare; and do remember that i have power over all the chandeliers"
THIS IS A FAKE. How do I know? I shatter glasses with my voice WITHOUT amplification! And I have seen this type of trick done before. I watched a singer do it in the exact same way on a show I did in Paris France. There is a hidden metal dowel underneath that can me set off by remote control. It comes up through a tiny slit in the bottom, whacks the glass and it happens so fast that you do not see it.
Hmm, yes. To shatter glass using voice is very possible, but the pitch should be way hihger.
You can download sine wave generators from internet and generate specific soundwave that would break the glass. Just put some glass object near the speakers and play your sine wave. It isn't possible to hear that sound for human (only for bats, dogs..), but you will shatter the glass.. Just try
This is a fake. How do I know? I am Jaime Vendera, the world professional at glass breaking. I just did a french television show where they used the same gimmich to allow a french singer to break a glass. Basically, there is a small electronic device set on a time that you can find on the internet. There is a slit in the table that is coverd by felt. When the timer goes off, a metla dowel swings up through with tremendous force that is so fast and hard that you do not see it strike the glass.
I love the host shouting something like 'ALO WOSOME'

Yeah, with mic it easy to do.
Type Jaimie Vendera in search bar, and watch this guy doing it on mythbusters, in front of glass - no power ups.

no, you can break glass with your voice, you just have to emulate the same resonance as the natural frequency of the glass

I'm not trying to be critical or something...but I'm kinda reluctant to believe that.. =S

I thought you had to be in the 7th octave to shatter glass, that didn't sound like it to me.
