this was two of us just having some fun on the day with SUVs

the top speed issue on both these units are electronically limited, if you remove the limiter then you can go faster than this.

both units have their respective plus and minus factors and it all comes down to personal preference

Fortuner is STILL the best on my opinion because even though mitsubishi release it's new montero sports VGT the toyota fortuner will still win because:

Fortuner only has 4 speed transmission but can reach a speed up to 180km/H while the montero sports GTV has 5 speed transmission but can only reach 180km/h too but what if the toyota release a 5 speed transmission fortuner maybe the speed would go to 190-200km/h? >.<

@CodeArsenal010 4 speed and 5 speed transmissions have the same gear ratios on their top gears, which means that they will both have the same top speed. The only advantage the 5 speed has over the 4 speed is that it gives the car better acceleration. I read this in a Topgear magazine, cant remember which issue.

@rotz2000 I think unichip for a 3.2 montero is not enough to smoke this modified fort... the fort owner has a lot of speed upgrades..FMIC,alcohol injection kit,full exhaust,mod air filter, turbo injector, a well tuned unichip... 1/4 mile in just 15.6 sec... I wanna see a stock MS and fort..
