I'm going to be straight with you. I will pay money, good money, for a copy of that archive. To say that my wife and I are beyond obsessed with getting ahold of the entire series is an understatement. Let me know if there is any amount of gold or shekels that could make this happen.
Underrated but an expensive series for the time. Top quality cast and my family always watched it where I believe it was transmitted on ITV on a sunday evening.
Hi. Would love to get a copy of this series on DVD. My father flew daks out in S.Africa during the last stages of the war, and we all watched the series with great interest when it was aired. Have seen one of the 2 planes used at various airshows in the early 90's but I think that gone to the great airport in the sky. The static one is at Duxford.
I've just come across these Airline clips. I haven't heard of or seen anything about this series since I watched it as kid! By any chance do you still have the whole series on DVD?
I loved the series too, I remember it very well and have attempted to get a copy of it on VHS or DVD, but no luck. I even emailed YTV, but nenver got a response! The annoying thing is that I had the series on VHS in the 1980's but have since lost the tapes!
Fantastic. Remember watching this as a kid. Was glued to the TV. I'm in the middle of building an 82" span RC model DC-3. Might finish it in the Ruskin colours. How sad! Anyone have the rest of the series?
The dvd release is for th 17th Febrauray (Can get it on Amazon UK)

How funny to hear Roy Marsden speaking with a Northern accent! He has such a cultured voice in The Sandbaggers, which I assumed was his normal one.

Hi,
Yes I have all 9 episodes from VHS (archived on DVD).
Incidently, the aircraft used were actually G-DAKS/"G-AGHY" and G-BHUB/"G-AGIV", both owned at the time by Aces High, North Weald.
Brilliant acting. Compulsive watching.
