Eric Stuart made him sound raspy a lot and Eric was convinced that James is gay, even saying that the only thing he doesn't like about James is that James crossdresses too much (James rarely does, but I think this was a quote from really early on).

The Bad news about Team Rocket in Black and White is that they don't have their Pokemon like Arbok, Weezing, Victerbell, Serviper, Dustox, Yamaga, Carnivine, and epsecailly Wobbuffet and Now they are wearing black outfits but later in the seris they switched back to their old outfits. They are more serious and they will never blast off again instead when they get defeat they will retreat in Jetpacks.

I was unaware of this until today, but Meowth now travels with Ash and the two new characters in Black and White. Does that mean Team Rocket is no more? I sure hope not!

@darksuperganon That was for a few couple of episodes dear Meowth has since rejoined Team Rocket after his stint with Ash and the gang It is revealed that Meowth was in fact never fired from Team Rocket and that his joining the group was part of a plan to steal the gang's Pokémon. confirmed on Bulbapedia.
