@Crunchy68 Not much. About 1/2 acher and a small stable. A 6ft+8ft shed will do. You have more truble trying to keep them from getting over wait than you do feeding them. Thay live on vertualy nothing becouse of the harsh/sparse terain thay ivolved in. Some people keep them in a garadge or even house train them. In the uk it is still leagle to keep a horse in your garden. It can be clast as transport.

This would be a lovely little business idea for entertaining tourists while giving them a sightseeing ride, a lift to shops, promenade around a fair, or a lift to their car. It is so sweet!
@Crunchy68 Yep. Lb for Lb the shetland is stronger than a shire horse. Thay have been used in all kinds if industry and turisam. Such as Pit ponys pulling carts of coal out of the mines, Log pulling in inassesable forests, Taking bridsmaids to weddings, Kids partys, Pony trecking and Kids rides, Pleasure driving, Coan and scury driving.
You can do alot with a shetty and thay love it too :-)
