ElementCabinet You obviously have not read the book. If you did, you would know that there are no ad hominems, no slogans, no conjecture in the book, just honest investigative reporting.

After 6 investigations found that climategate was a non event with no fudging of science, leading Senate denialist Inhofe (R-OK) demanded another investigation by the Inspector General, which came to the exact same conclusions. That makes 7 investigations - no wrong doing.

Yes, this does a great job of tracing the 'denialists' from their roots in questioning science from tobacco to ozone to global warming.

And comments below do a great job of illustrating how many disciples they have created. Notice the 'blind eye'--"I don't hear much in the way of factual arguments here"--and the unsubstantiated accusation that's assumed to be true--"The 'climate gate' fraud. . ." (at least five independent inquiries have found no wrongdoing of any sort.)

Agreed clarkcolt45. I don't hear much in the way of factual arguments here. And she makes an absurd notion that science shouldn't be used to argue against science. That is the stupidest thing I've heard in the longest time. I'm gonna write a book using conjecture, sloganeering, and adhomynyms. The "climate gate" fraud is important because it's just another taboo and "scientific consensus" that we're not allowed to question. The fact is that the data is just from a hand full of western nations not even 100 years old (on an 5 billion year old planet), and no explanation for fossils of palm trees in Scotland, that world seas are not rising etc. "Warmest in recorded history" when "recorded" is s short term.

No debate within science is proof in itself that there's not science going on.

Except "The "climate gate" fraud" wasn't a fraud. Do you have any evidence for fraud? No! Numerous independent enquiries in different countries have failed to find any evidence of fraud. NOBODY has shown any evidence of fraud.
