  • You are so musical. Everything you play has such a natural flow.

I am sure who Rudolf Kerer is, you remind me a bit of his way of thinking.

When can i hear you in the United States?

  • @galapz Thank you! The comparison to Kehrer is flattering enough. :)

I'm afraid, no performances in the US have been planned at the moment.

  • nice performance!

  • @DLLPIANO Thank you!

  • Браво !!!

  • @Gusakov Спасибо. :)

  • Well played but much to fast ! SLOW DOWN please and adjust more sensebility and "mood" to this masterpiece as Franz intended...

  • @muslimfukker Thank you! As for your advice, you probably mean as Robert Intended... :-)

Actually, with all due respect I do not find it necessary to play more slowly: Cliburn takes a faster tempo, W.Backhaus just a bit slower one, Jessie Norman sings almost twice faster... When it comes to song transcriptions, our tempo choice is limited by the capabilities of human voice, hence the slowest tempo is one wherein a singer could sing a phrase in one breath.

  • @sergeypiano Yes, and Cliburn's recording is exhilarating. I think too many people have Lang Lang's interpretation seared in their brains. This piece fits free movement and speed!

  • @muslimfukker ...and given the "lebhaft" (vivid) tempo indication with counting in minims (3/2), I presume one should not try to make this lied calm but rather with somewhat raised temperature; reverent, perhaps even anxious to some extent but not timid. This is a bride's song, not one of a girl going to her first date. :-)

  • This is such a beautiful performance--so sincere and fresh... thank you for sharing with us!

  • @richterkleiber Thank you!

  • Замечательное исполнение!!!

  • @bogdanovdanil Спасибо!

  • Bravo!!

  • @Silberlion Thank you!

  • Beautiful.

any tips on how to make the sixths legato, or 'smooth' like you managed to do at the beginning?

  • @TheKeenanBoy Thank you!

As for the tips, I'm afraid there are no tips. Just keep the hands light and very flexible, and try to strive for good legato in your mind and ears, then your hands may perhaps fulfill the wish. :)

  • spasiba beautiful playing

  • My pleasure!

  • Schumann est le compositeur que je préfère (pour le piano) et là, je le retrouve pleinement, avec joie. Très bon, vraiment !

  • Merci beaucoup de tous les commentaires! :-)
