I'm not quite sure what to think anymore. My favorite sub-machine gun used to be the Machinenpistole 40 (MP-40), which was used by Nazi Germany in WWII. It had a folding buttstock, 100m and 200m folding sights, and it was cheap and reliable. The UZI, which is made by Israel, the people of which were persecuted by Nazi Germany, has the same thing, comes in 4 different models, and is current and therefore not that hard to obtain.

Just one thing though for the operator in the clip, if you're going to check that the weapon's " clear " you should be REMOVING the MAGAZINE BEFORE you cock and inspect, ie the " safety check " is check there are no rounds in the chamber / barrel and NO MAGAZINE fitted. If the mag is still on, you will only be chambering a round after you " ease springs " and when you " fire the action " BANG ! Always check SAFE ( safety catch set to SAFE ), remove mag, then cock and inspect.

What do all the letters mean near the selector? In other words, I have seen some semi automatic UZI's that have the letters D.E.S. on them and some like the rifle that you should that have the A in front. Got a question.. While I know that the stock on the M.A.C. makes it a S.B.R. and hence illegal without a tax stamp, how come the stock on the U.Z.I. Carbine is not illegal? I mean afterall, couldn't a criminal saw down the carbine making it an S.B.R.? And if this is the case, why can't regular citizens have the stock on the M.A.C. weapon? I know there is a M.A.C. carbine, but shouldn't we be allowed to have a stock like the S.M.G. if that style is made into a carbine too?
@erkoekrf normally, like he said, the barrel is longer (legal length to be considered a rifle) so the stock isn't an issue. what makes this an SBR is the short barrel combined with the stock. you can get an SBR on an AR, AK, etc platforms.
The Uzi has to be one of the coolest guns ever made. The Uzi pistol is cool too, but I think it sort of loses it's usefulness when not in full auto. There are a lot of other semi-auto 9mm pistols that come a lot more compact then that. Then again, few are as cool. ;)

If an owner of such a weapon causes harm with it (on purpose OR through negligence) then that is when the owner should be charged with a crime. I dont kow exactly what vector arms problems with the law were. It had somthing to do with amunition sales and international law - ill bet it had something to do with all the ammunition sales to legitimate Iraqi forces that everone was trying to cash in on. But Vector has a long history of producing Law Enforcment Only - full-autos - I doubt they strayed to far from the letter of the law - at least not intentionally.

I dont kow exactly what vector arms problems with the law were. It had somthing to do with amunition sales and international law - ill bet it had something to do with all the ammunition sales to legitimate Iraqi forces that everone was trying to cash in on. But Vector has a long history of producing Law Enforcment Only - full-autos - I doubt they strayed to far from the letter of the law - at least not intentionally.

@TheMedievalMan Vector Arms in Utah makes civilian semi-autos and full-autos for police orders. and recently Century International Arms Inc. produces a civilian simi-auto only Uzi to compete with Vector. But true that none is as robust and reliable as the original I.M.I. Uzi.
