  • If you are thinking of the LegUp by Pete G of Chopper Design, think again. It won't hold my Harley RoadKing up and the guy won't give me my $3500 back. See my video.

  • This system is superb for old farts like me, the old girl is getting heavier as I get older but I would hate to part with her. Are these people still in business, have they restarted somewhere drier, I hope so, I will need this stuff soon. I read every week of someone parting with their pride and joy because it is getting too heavy, must be a massive market for loads of bikes not just the wing.

  • the sound in the back is pretty groovy =)

  • Wow... we meet in person. I have had so many question where someone can purchase these and of course the only think I know is the Hurricane wiping out the business. Is your father still in business somewhere? Is there a way that people can contact you directly or someone else that can answer the technical questions. People like myself that had them have no idea how to maintain such a thing. Thanks for sending me your story.

  • Imagine perfecting that to 100 percent accuracy. That's why it takes along time to develop these inventions.

Im sure he'd strangle me(joking of course) right now if he knew I told the world this, but It's a sad story related to Hurricane Katrina and the power of mother nature.

  • Well The new invention that almost was finished in development was mounted inside the saddlebags, with complicated technology when the device "sensed"an impending fall of the motorcycle , arms instanteously fired down to the ground to save the bike from falling over. As a kid, it was pretty amazing to see him push the bike off the kickstand and see the goldwing saved from hitting the ground by the device. Imagine perfecting that to 100 percent accuracy.

  • Sadly, it wasnt ever able to work on the Goldwing 1800 because the system relied onthe unique nature and positioning of the 1500s swingarm for the center stand and other compleixties . He spent alot of time trying to get it to work but ultimately went on to another invention that would completely replace Landing Gear and capture the same market.

  • Wow, seeing this video reminds me of old prekatrina days and a childhood watching my father's passion.

Wing Landing Gear was my dad's business. He's the guy riding the motorcycle in this video. I have read alot of ignorant comments that are incorrect and some bright ones too.

    Setting the record :

The cost of landing gear was $3000 if I remember correctly. A quality trike setup costs double that.

  • LOL , gawd, more training wheels for the elderly

  • that system i mean...if u can say me.

  • how much its cost?? if u can say me.thanks

  • Much better than the new systems I saw... ;)

  • Well BUMMER...Thanks John. I have a 2008 Goldwing and love it. Look for my vids under SHOOTERAOD...quite a few from up inColorado.

  • I would be interested also to know where to get this setup for my wing.

  • They are out of business. As far as I know you can't buy it new. Personally I did not use them much and really didn't like it. Didn't trust it not coming down in a corner. I would rather have a tric setup which is about the same money.

  • I think this is great, and sorry the factory was destroyed. I plan to mount one that I have on my Goldwing, as soon as I can find where to get the two limit switches that go with it. Anyone know where I might find them?

  • where do you get it?

  • Comment removed

  • But it sure does get a lot of comments.

  • My husband is looking for this same stabilization addition for his '08 Gold Wing. Where can we find a dealer? The one in N Orleans was wiped out with Katrina. Thanks

  • this is not a motorbike, this is a small truck

  • this landing gear sure comes in handy..

  • Why bother. buy a honda car . same goes for all those trikes out there

  • If you don't know why we ride then why bother to comment. It is the freedom. Well don't sound like you are into motorcycles.

  • I have never heard or ever seen one of these, pretty neat throw back idea.

I've seen something similar on the stupid Euro motorcycle car thing. They had rear stabilizers that dropped, wonder what a sharp turn at 14mph would feel like if they were still down.

  • so retro, love it

  • 2:56 kind of looks like a rascal... haha

    a good idea imo.

  • What an ass. I needed that configuration due to my disability. Hope you never loose the use on one of your legs. Well maybe you will and won't be such a wise guy.

  • what a gay bike

  • this is so sick i want one for my 600RR!!!!!!!!!

  • can anybody tell me how can I get one of these amazing invention. thank you

  • They no longer make them. There is a tric setup that has wheels down all the time and it is much better. There were dangerious if they came up when you didn't want them to.

  • Question??? Does anyone out there have one of these landing gears that they are not using, and would want to sell???

Will check back later for any anwers. Thanks

  • ha! training wheels!

  • Nice contraption and useful for some (disabled or overweight), but you will NOT be changing the rear tire by having it lifted 1" off the ground. Possible on the 1800 but wishful thinking on the 1500.

  • G'day, Can any one tell me how I can get more info on the Landing gear? I live in Australia is there an agent here.

    Regards John

  • Great video I would get this set up if it was available, any idea where I could get the landing gear? A brilliant unit for the Goldwing...Honda should have this as an add on accessory especially for slow speed traveling/parking/tight corners et al.

    Thanks

  • hurricane katrina destroyed factory...company out of business

  • its not ja bike its ja big joke!!

  • lol, buy a car ffs.

  • Obviously your not disabled!!!!!!!

  • Hm ... schon irgendwie seltsam! Umkehrschub wäre auch noch was, oder? :-))

  • Thats awesome! My uncle has had a stroke and wont ride anymore because he is afraid of dropping his bike in a parking lot environment. Now, if I can just find one of these things and get him interested in riding again.

  • A Trike kit is much more stable if he has a Goldwing already. Cost about the same. This company is out of business. I only used them for backing up. Look up Trike Kit and you will find a better solution. The Honda Trikes are way to expensive. Take a $5000 Wing and ad the $4000 wheel kit and you have the same as a $3000 trike.

  • Geez Take it easy mate, you make a good point. It was just my first reaction... not some well thought out political statement. Yes I do have a bike and yes I do ride.. everyday...

If this makes it easier for those with difficulties ride a bike and get out of it what I do.. great..

  • why bother having a bike ?

  • Everyone isn't as gifted as you may be with good legs and they still want to ride. Like a trike but still two wheels. Do you have a bike or just like running the mouth!!!!

  • Whats the point in keep showing this great product when you can't purchase it now?

  • It's perfect and I think I would like to get one set of it but have no idea where to order. I am living in Singapore and does anyone knows how I can reach the company to order the product? Looking forward for recieving advises from you guys. Thank you. :)

  • genial

  • genial-ou peut t'on monter ce truc terrible.

    salutations

  • This is bull , just imagine a malfunction going at a high rate of speed ! ! Your screwed.

  • I had the bike for 2 years and it never did that. I only used it for pulling it back as it had no reverse and is heavy. Convenient for that. I did have a kill switch just in case. It was on the bike when I purchased it. They are no longer in business. Were wiped out with the hurricane in New Orleans.

  • Wow, the final step to making the Goldwing a full blown car and remove the last bit of motorcycle dna it has.

  • Great Idea. I tried and tried to get one, and finally talked to the manufacturer, who lost everything in Katrina and moved to Texas. He said due to his total loss, he had no intention to restart the business. So...I bought the Tow-Pac Insta trike kit for mine instead.

  • moto gold wing

  • ou trouver ce truc genial.

    salutations

  • wow. is it provided by honda? or by an independent manufacturer? how much does it cost to have one installed?

  • Is this for real?

  • Is this for real?

  • Good idea.
