  • My uncle died in a car wreck before I was before. Just recently, I was given his 1967 Heit Deluxe. I love that plank of wood! I wouldn't sell it for anything in the world. Besides my Fender Strat, it is my fav guitar.

  • Just bought one of these, cannnnnooot wait

  • @JamesWaton Better hope yours plays better. Mine played terribly (previously botched fret jobs and a slightly warped neck) so now I have the neck torn apart and I'm installing a truss rod, leveling the neck and re-fretting it.

  • I like mine, an ET-200 from 1969..they are very fun to play, they sound vintage no matter how modern of an amp or effect you use...they are stuck in a time warp! Plus there are lots of songs waiting t be pulled out of these suckers,,,hungry ghosts in the pickups

  • looks Steven Gossamer?!

  • I've just bought a copy like yours. nice little guitar.

  • I just got a Teisco similar to that myself at the local flea market. Mine needs strings and one tuner was in a bag next to it but for $20 talked down from $25 it was a hell of a bargain. Only diference is mine has the wammy bar, and the head is slightly more rounded at the tip. Come to find out they are fairly rare and sought after by collecters. Only made from 1948-1969. It's called the Teisco Heit Deluxe if you want to reaserch it further. All around a nice guitar with a distinctive sound.

  • Yeah, mine doesn't play too nice though, the neck might be warped. also the frets aren't to round anymore hehe

  • Yeah they have a new neck on e-bay if you want to fix it. they sound really nice when they are fixed up right i've had mine for about 3 years and it was it pretty good shape when I got it except for missing a few parts. but the sound is great, like a cross between a stratocaster and a high end gibson. Little better than a marshal in my opinion.

  • hey i have a heit deluxe mine is a bass guitar thought can you try to find me info about it

  • Well all that i know is that the Teisco company stood for Tokio Electronic Instrument and Sound Company. they were founded in 1948 and went out of buissness in 1969 so they are somewhat rare.

  • dude, I have a Decca that looks just like that, but itdoesn't have that metal piece at the bottom in between the two bridges.

  • Man i Baught a teisco at a yard sale last month for like 4$. no tthe best guitar but after i rewired and refinished it its decent. very unique sound.

  • You've bought a great guitar I think.

  • Nice "Cheapocaster" <3 I bet it's better than the average $100 Stratocaster clone!

  • you got it off where? craigs list? whats that some sort of ebay type site? nice teisco btw. and glad to hear some whire stripes ;]

  • i just bought the same guitar for $60 at a flea market today. its not in bad shape, gotta clean it up a bit and solder a few things/straighten the neck but it plays nice and im glad i found it

mine has a different headstock and tailpiece, might be a different year

  • Wicked, I just bought one of these for £50 and have been trying to discover exactly what it is all day. My ones got a different headstock and tailpeice to yours though. It's a lovely little find though, I'm very happy with it, junkshop Guitars rock!

  • i just buyed an 60's guitar named:'audition' i'm waiting for it to arrive

  • I've just won one "Audition" same guitar too...

I'd like to know how to "clean" a little the sound... i like the natural crunch but I'd prefer less than it sounds here... Changing pots?

    If anyone can help me...

    Thanks!!!

  • my ''audition'' plays pretty good but sounds like crap with overdrive i changed the pickups, now i have little less buzz but the sound didn't change. the guitar is great for slide

  • Thanks... have you changed the condenser in the pots? And... (sorry) which pickups did you put on?

    Thanks again.

  • still has the original condnenser and pickup a teisco goldfoil pickup

  • Thanks a lot!!!

  • 50 bucks for that vintage thing? You better keep that thing around!

  • i know, really!

  • Cool! Sounds really good.

  • Good deal bro! Sounds cool!
